Dear Phlebas, I want to thank you for uploading (to my opinon) the hottest pic I've seen in years. A pic of an old bearded man posing naked and in extasy, as if he were crucified.You posted it quite a time ago already, but I was on holyday.And yes, I know, my taste is very diffferent from the most people overhere. Nikolai Ge, as I found out, was a russian painter and one of the first to use photography as a basis for his paintings. The pic you sent is a self-portrait of him. Alas he hasn't made a painting of his pic (as far as we know...), but I do think he really enjoyed posing like this
And what a beautiful man...He has made a painting of Jesus crucified, and some studes for it, that I include in my post.

A tribute to Mal, I believe he passed away a few years ago, correct me if I'm wrong. His silhouettes are wonderful and to quote a cliche, "a picture is worth a thousand words." Here is a small story I came up with based on this Mal creation. And do any have other creations? I lost a few on an old drive.
I envision it thusly: Simon the sadist has been waiting patiently all day. A frequent attendee at the crucifixions, he arrived at dawn for the striking of nails and then watched the agonizing torture from behind the ample crowd. The prisoners today are fine sturdy lads, especially that one in the middle, Peter; he'll be a keeper on the wood.
As the day progresses eventually the crowd dwindles; citizens must return to their duties and/or families.. Dusk has finally arrived and their is a slight chill in the air, everyone has left, except Simon. This sadist walks forward contemplates the prisoners one by one, decides on Peter, that one in the middle
He places coins in the hands of the centurion guarding and smiles. "Surely you need some respite, some dinner and wine, perhaps a stop at the city tavern? The guard replies. "I will leave you alone with the prisoners, but am giving a warning. If one dies, you'll go up in his place."
Finally alone now with his chosen victim he nooses Peter's cock and then pulls on the leash. The prisoner is forced to arch forward, he strains on the nails and his agony is renewed. Simon smiles and looks up. "Finally some private time with you boy, I am sure the guard will not be back for at least three hours. All the time in the world to torture you on the wood, come up with ideas for future torments." He listens to the howling of wild creatures, the sounds of swarming crickets and insects. "Yes all the time in the world."

Ahhh but I am not sure if this is all the same movie. For example the sign above the cross was "Inri" not sedition. Still, "Last Temptation" is erotically charged. I do not enjoy the film necessarily in the religious sense, but cross executions as public entertainment. I especially enjoy the other two prisoners, crucified in such odd yet painful positions. All are nude, which adds to their humiliation. "Jesus of Montreal" is also a great naked crucifixion. Both films were made in the late '80s. There have been no nude crucifixions on mainstream film since then? I love the realism of both these films. Here is a clip I like.

Probably haven't seen this movie in decades. The first guy on the cross had a nice body IMO, nice butt and it looks like he was fairly well endowed. At least based on what little we could see.

Definitely not bad at all! The thieves are invariably hotter than JC IMO. Don't know why this is the case (Dafoe never really 'did it' for me)
Other thoughts, I wonder if the thieves were fully nude at all during the shooting or if they had the twig and berries covered. Hope the former, probably the latter.

For me the stripping off of the loincloth at the very end before the patibulum (or completed cross) is raised up is very erotic. It’s the moment of complete and total humiliation. I wouldn’t mind being marched naked to the crucifixion site either as I would be more aware of my nakedness at that point because having been just spiked, I wouldn’t be worried about being stripped completely naked. But either way my last ever piece of clothing removed from my body must be ritual to further emphasise my fate.
