Those are too far away and low resolution, I got some fantastic screen shots from Jedakk from the series "Rome", use them a lot, I'll have to learn how they do great screen shots from movies, when I have tried to pause and copy them they come out shit! D.

I'm sure, would have to source the movies, I do however spend most of my time doing these, so any help is always very welcome! Admihoek, we have opened up a group conversation for the members willing and eager to write text for pictures I send them, Eulalia has already done the text on the one published that I announced on the commercial stuff page. After this one, where we haven't charged a text fee as she didn't want one, I have agreed to put in a fee or share of the sales, better though to do it with a flat fee for each effort to be paid to the costs of the forum. The only thing I would require is an invoice for the site, so join the gang if you so feel inclined. PM me if you're interested!

The mistake you are making is to pause then copy. You may or more likely may not get a clear image. Most frames are blurred but when run quickly we don't notice. First download a player like VLC and from the top bar click on View then tick the Advanced Controls from the menu. The bottom left of your VLC screen will then show 4 extra controls.

The red dot is record then snapshot, loop and advance frame by frame (for approx 25 frames). You can choose from the frames which you want to keep. You can click on the snapshot.
Also in VLC you can adjust brightness, colour, hue and other settings to improve the quality of the film. VLC can do lots of other things as well as saving snapshots and video clips it can convert videos and even record from Youtube.
I will certainly give it a try. I need to find the right film in high resolution if possible and take it from there, actually, not trying to appear lazy, I do spend most of my time searching, downloading and of course making the pictures, that can be very time consuming i'm sure you realise, that is why material from others is so appreciated! D.
