Crucifixion Of The Bandit Modesto

Getting closer :)
I like the side on walking pic, nice change

They stopped to rest for an hour.
At this time, the executioner had fun punishing the condemned. He placed the
condemned sitting on a piece of wood, whipped him, tied in a painful way, etc.

The executioner was happy with his job and always thought about new ways to humiliate the condemned.

They were very close to the site of the crucifixion and reinitiated the
march.
However, before, they had to cross a river.
.

Be careful crossing that river! We wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you :D

that chain looks . . . interesting. It must have swung as you walked, bumping you with each stride

No joke.
At the point where the photos 5 & 6 weren taken, the river suddenly began to have great depth and the river bed was covered with slippery stones.
I had my arms tied and a chain around my neck.
There was a moment when I really was very afraid.:(

I think cmeinsen, in thread "Safe Crux", no thought about the danger of drowning.
Chains?. Yeah, funny.

The tree of crucifixion was near the river, so they came to the place
quickly.
Forcing the condemned to cross the river walking, rather than by the bridge
that was near, was a way to break his self-esteem.
The condemned was no longer owner of his destiny. He belonged to the
executioner and he must obey any order or whim of the executioner.

Interesting idea having you go through the river. I look forward to the next set of pics.

However, the executioner did not like the site.
He wanted to put the crucified high and for this he needed a platform on which to place the condemned.
So he forced Modesto to go to the river and carrying great stones with which to build the platform.

It was the maximum form of humiliation. The condemned should build his own cross.
