One of my favorite highlights of any crucifixion. Too bad it's not done more often!

Here's the standard IMHO for ripping off a loincloth, many years ago from cruxdreams. I think it actually helps that Makar (I think that's him, covered up in anticipation of COVID-19[?]) is a bit fumbling. It's a nice counterpoint to Lena's sinewy movements.

I guess... I like crux as a whole not just one part. I think it’s too narrow visioned to obsess over one part. I’ve been on the biggest crux kick ever recently so I can’t really say anything to anyone.

It begs the question: for those of us who obsess over one part or another of a crucified body, would eliminating that part affect how we feel (our level of interest, so to speak)?

The first one. Without some sense of the crucified’s suffering and angst (best shown in this case by facial expression), the rest is just body parts.

Since the first crux images I ever saw it’s never been faces or body parts that zapped my libido, but entirety of those naked female bodies on display, the gestalt.

That term in English oozes pretentiousness, but "an organized whole that is perceived as more than the sum of its parts" really does sum it up.

#1 loses the most, the covering in #3 matters the least.
Although we'd usually expect it to come off at some point,
... an entire series of a full crux event with loincloth can still be sexy. Every step of the way from sentencing, nailing, whipping, raising, suffering to the end ... it can all still work with a loincloth staying on.

An entire via crucis of a faceless crucified body would for me get offputting pretty soon.

Ha, now we know what not to give you next time you're on the cross. But the question was which was the picture that was most ruined for you by covering up?

I think in the case of this series, for me, it's #2, but it really depends on the image and setting. The thing I look for most is upper body tension, so the armpits are an essential part of that. In the case of this image there is no tension, so their importance is reduced.

I'm not narrowed visioned, I love everything about crux and the female form on a cross. It's just that sometimes you are entranced by a detail, some armpits are more erotically stimulating than others and the cross sure makes them stand out.
