An interesting historic photograph of Red Army (Czech Battalion) sniper Valentina Binevska with her Tokarev SVT-40 self-loading rifle in 1942.
The Tokarev SVT-40 was favoured over the popular Mosin-Nagant by those Red Army snipers who adopted the technique of 'double-hitting' their targets - that is, firing two rounds in rapid succession to guarantee a kill, facilitated by the self-loading capability of the weapon.

Interesting story, did'nt know about czech female snipers. Lovers of ol'rifles prefer Mosin-Nagant, but SVT40 has his fans too.
