Depending on what kind of whip one is using, the "art" is more or less challenging
But the coin has a second side: Many fantasize about experiencing it once, and then its an even more delicate art to cut lightly only...

My "every day rule" for that would be:
- It has to be optically pleasing (nice symmetrical pattern, what takes good control of the whip)
- Skin not broken (we don't want to damage our toy, just set it on fire. However I don't mind seeing it...)
- no bad haematomae (just no nice look)

Hm, let me put it this way: "How in-transparent does that bikini need to be?"
I haven't used my whips a lot the last two years, but I am pretty sure that it doesn't take more than half an hour warm up training with a pillow to get the routine back.
Then I am pretty sure that the dog whip would be able to do the requested body painting with sufficient "percentage of coverage" and precision.

You would need to come to Switzerland for that, it's safer:
If I drink a milk prior to the whipping, it will get a bikini
If however I drink too much Single Malt prior to the whipping, it rather will turn out as fishnet body stocking...
