Only just caught up with these, a good crux series - I especially like ##3-6.
each in a different way shows how utterly at the mercy of her tormentors
the crucified girl is - there's a hint of interaction between victim and executioner in #3,
like she's thinking she might arouse some compassion in him as he fondles her breast -
but that doesn't save her from the spear in #4; #5 shows how she can be subject
to extra vindictiveness, so does #6

Or perhaps she has attracted his mercy as he finishes her suffering long before the cross would have...
By the way I like the low cross. She is not out of reach yet the ground below taunts her reminding her it is just out of reach...
and I would not offer you any peace though I seem to remember when you were to be crucified for 24 hours after your feet were freed you demanded Tree nailed you a different way...
