in those circumstances, perhaps a blessing - at least some refreshing rain to moisten my parched mouth and cool and drench my sweating, blood-soaked body - maybe Jove will take pity on me and send a thunderbolt! In my imaginings, I tend to think of warm, moist, thundery weather as being most suitable for crucifixions and suchlike executions, the most steamy and sensual!
