Thanks Barb, "the flowers in the hair" thing is not new, I got the idea from the illustration on a paperback about Roman games I based this early picture on. View attachment 105838 I also read that the victims where "garlanded" somewhere, possibly to play the role of a mythical story or just to make them look even prettier. I like the touch and will be using it again in some new pictures.
Good to know. Thanks Damian....I do like the garlanding of the victims. It is, as you say, a nice touch. But certainly not a sign of Roman sentimentality, is it? Really quite the opposite!
