I have to agree with Tree on this. With crucifixion, the cruelty is the point. A proper crucifixion should consist of a woman fully stripped, naked, and given plenty of strokes of the whip.

A proper crucifixion should consist of a woman fully stripped, naked, and given plenty of strokes of the whip.

I suppose being allowed to wear a loincloth affords some minimal dignity to the crucified person, but to have it torn off suddenly at some point could be psychologically devastating. Suddenly she's completely naked, and in a most obscene way. But perhaps the sheer agony of crucifixion would make one completely unaware of even being partially clothed then unclothed.
