So many career opportunities for keen young slave-girls!:)
What shall we pick, Mistress Connie?
Stone-breaking, furnace-stoking, mill-grinding (dig those cockroaches!:D)
I'd choose galley-slaving, then we can swing together -
but you're the Governess!

p.s. cute little mouse, too ;)
but the rats are scccccaaaary!

Don't be concerned Eulilia, in "Helmut's Thread we are equal opportunity slavers and we will have you try your hand at each of these tasks until we find the one were you appear to be at you best. And I do mean appear, because we want everyone to look good. All women are beautiful.
Enjoy,
Helmut

Another year has gone by; last evening I watched a rerun of the funeral for the 343 New York City Firefighters who died in the collapse of the Trade Center Towers and I found it especially touching since I was a Firefighter when I was a younger man.
What a September this has been, first the floods, then the terribly sad news about Maker (May he rest in peace.), and now we are confronted with another anniversary of 911. New York and Washington are on ramped up security alerts because of terrorist threats, and yet maybe we are lucky. Over the years there have been many terrorist acts committed all over the world, Germany, Russia, and the Italian cruise ship with a name I don’t remember; and while we did get the SOB there will always be another to replace him but yet the number of attacks seem to be down… I’m rambling and you don’t come here for that.
This year for 9-11 I thought I’d present one of the Taryn original works.

Hi,
We made this video in a bit of a hurry to cheer people up. You have to name the three films we took the video clips from to win a big round sum. Part of the soundtrack was made by Tess from Owlage.

Well, the galley the girls are rowing won't get far. They're simply swinging the blades backwards and forwards, never dropping them down into the water! :p Compare the brief clip of men rowing. If the girls were rowing properly like the men are, they'd experience the discomfort of rowing topless - even with a bra it's tricky, lycra has made a tremendous difference to women's rowing! ;)

Still, it's a gorgeous video, great sound, just what we needed! :D

This is a modern boat with state of the art oars of the sort they use on racing shells, with flapper blades.

Of course they are state of the art. Would we use anything less!....so what were the three films?

Mel,
I am an old man who has done many things during my life, other then having a wife and children, who are Doctors and teach Collage and etc. When I was a much younger man, in my Twenties, I was an officer of the US Army, a fellow Lieutenant friend of mine was fond of saying: "The US and GB (AKA UK) are like man and wife, always bickering about something, but one cannot live without the other, and I am inclined to agree. Yesterday I saw the changing of the Guard and Buckingham Palace as it occurred on 11 Sept. 2001. They Played our National Anthem, and displayed the US Flag (AKA "Old Glory") while parading in full dress uniforms (Not the everyday grey.) It is as touching now as it was in those terrible times.
I's good to have friends across the pond, and your post here in this thread is very inspirational,
Helmut
