Part 4

It took four days to reach the Golf of St. Laurence but when we did we found ourselves in favorable weather with fair winds. We were able to sail down the Golf with the wind coming from astern and came out into the Sea of Labrador without using any oars.
We sailed into the open sea displaying our figurehead and the custom sail ordered special for this voyage. On our bow we had our Goddess and on our sail a slave girl. Connie wanted to know where the dolphins were and I speculated that these waters might be too cold for such creatures.
“It’s too damn cold for me too.” She retorted.
So I decided to have her put on an oar, give her a chance to warm up.”

Although it is not my ship it is always nice to have new recruits! I like the boots, pity that they may not function very well.
 
I think we owe Image Maker our thanks for the hard work he has done in keeping the site up and running during this time of troubles. I have seen comments elsewhere, on the Foundation and we also owe them our thanks, but the one thing that surprised me was the fact that some of the watchers over there seemed to know more about what was going on then I do. I thought it was the expected upgrade.
I want to post something but the next series of pictures for the "Goddess and the Slave Girl" are not quite ready so I've taken a few from a CD that I intended to publish a few years ago but never got around to it.
So here for your enjoyment are some female Gladiators... "Goddesses of the Arena" if you will.
