An anonymous payment option would be great. By the way, I donated today for the second time for this month.
 
I'm using the Patreon venue to donate. I like that once I set it up it's an automatic payment to IM every month, and I don't have to do anything. I intend to keep it that way as long as I'm a member here. May need to up it a bit, though.... we'll see.

But the Patreon way is a pretty easy way if you decide to make regular donations. Check it out.

Offering a bitcoin option may be fine for some, but I don't think you would want to rely on it as the sole method of collecting donations. For one thing, it's too volatile. The price of bitcoin is down almost 7 percent just today. Monday it could be down another 7 percent, or back up. Who knows? No one does. If you have to pay a fixed $300 a month (or whatever it is) for hosting, then the fluctuating value of bitcoin will drive you nuts.

And that's exactly what I was afraid of. Now we really have to look into another payment option. Hopefully we can find a way.
 
can i ask if what is actually paid for?

is it paying for the site to work for another month? you don't have any sponsors (I know some sites have them, even with ads)

somehow it doesn't occur to me that other similar bdsm sites (independent, no monthly payment is required, so please explain it to me, because I absolutely didn't understand it) ... thanks.

in many sites I've visited, annoying box has lit up for me, please turn off adblock, this site is up and running thanks to ads (ads seem to help fund sites)

yes a lot of people will probably burn me for heresy at the stake (for mentioning ads) but it would help with web financing ...

but it would have to be bdsm ads and porn character ...


it's just my idea ..

The issue is that the administration of the payments is done by IM, and he is in Russia. We do not make direct payments to either the hosting service (in the USA) or the Xenforo platform (in Europe). We send funds to IM directly who then pays the bills, as the site "owner". The issue is not with the forums themselves, which are "outside" Russia, but with sorting out who should act as the "treasurer" (more or less) while this situation continues and sanctions affect people in Russia.

We are trying to work this out.

I haven't known much about it lately ...

I can't help you with the payment system, but I suggest you find a new sponsor or introduce ads (yes, it's an evil, but a better evil than shutting down the site ...) Am I right?

I would strongly oppose ads. First, who is going to advertise on this site? Coca Cola, Toyota, McDonalds? I don't think so. If BDSM site A advertises on B and B advertises on A to attract viewers from each other, I'm not sure how sustainable that is. And the history of Facebook, Google etc, says that once you have advertisers the site caters to them not the users. Money talks...

It was easily forseeable that PayPal would have to shut down in Russia (the only surprise is that they didn't do so several days ago) and alternate plans are in the works. By the time next month rolls around the matter will be taken care of.

As for crypto, it's simply too volatile to be of much use for this. If I send $20 in bitcoins today, by the time the hosting bill comes it could be worth $5 or $ 80 or who knows...And it isn't quite as untracable as people think. Remember, the hackers who shut down the Colonial Pipeline in the US for ransom that was paid in bitcoins? Well, somehow the US Government got most of the money back. So, obviously the transactions are traceable if the authorities wish to trace them.

While we fantasize about a wide variety of things here, our "specialty" is the execution of woman by crucifixion. So I seriously doubt that any business (even a bdsm/porn one) would ever advertise here.
