To be more accurate, bowlers can get movement through the air and from the pitch. Bowlers come in different kinds, with different specialisms, speed, spin, swing etc. In the case of spinners, this is primarily movement off the pitch generated by a spinning ball. The trick with the googly or doosra is to spin the ball the opposite way to what the batsman is expecting.
