Ideal crux weather? It depends on whether we value comfort of suffering? I always looked for a nice warm day and cover from the sun. If suffering is the goal, exposure to the hot sun, or to cold or rain, will provide entirely different experiences. Imagine shivering while nailed through the wrists and feet.
 
If the weather is good for the guards, they are happy.. who cares about the condemned?
 
On a serious note I do love the photo of the rain crucifixion. I imagine turning my head up to try and get a few drops to drink. The rain cleaning my body, washing the blood, taking my tears. The drips pouring down, my hypersensitive skin would feel every drip, ever rivulet gliding down my torso.

Some rain after a tropically muggy day, may refresh the crucified! :D
 
For me, the ideal weather would be scorching hot. I love seeing men on the cross sweating uncontrollably and their bodies shining. As the condemned, it would be hot and humiliating too to be offered my torturers' piss as the only way to rehydrate and knowing I would have to drink it to survive the heat.

My ideal crucifixion enviornment would be some kind of temperate climate, where I wouldn't die too fast due to extreme heat or cold. As for location, I want somewhere with lots of pedestrian foot trafic. I want a lot people to see me as I die, to know my crimes and to be reminded that if they do what I did they will find themselves just like me. Naked and helpless waiting for the sweet release of death that won't come.
 
What I coined last year as 'Ideal crucifixion weather', good summer weather when it does not cool significantly during the night, weather like this weekend here, really stimulates fantasy, and instigates to work out ideas into stories. I hope can finish a few for posting.

I've done outdoor crux plays in both triple digit temperatures and in pouring rain, I gotta say I did really love the times I got to be crucified in the rain the most.
The heat though was good for seeing how long I could last in relative comfort, not feeling any real pain, but still burning in the sun.

I wonder if I should do this with a water lock
A frozen bottle with ropes in the inner fastened out of my reach. When the ice melts, I fall down (into cushions and carpets). As more heat as faster does the ice melt so maybe theres a balance
 
OK, so I got caught out in the rain today.
Part of my weekly workout regiment is doing a five to six mile ruck march on Sundays. Today we started out with a light drizzle that changed into a full on thunder storm when I was halfway from home.
Of course while I was walking I thought, huh, well might as well keep walking since it's the only way I'm gonna get anywhere, rain or not. THEN I started thinking about all the stuff I used to do in the rain and that included sexual things and the though hit me, man I wish I had the resources at my disposal to do outdoor crux plays again. lol
So, yeah remembering how much fun it was solidified the though in my head of the best weather to get crucified in is when it is raining, lol
