Fortune smiles upon Allisa as she receives the first good news since her abduction. As for the mines mentioned by constable Robert, a quote from one of my favorite movies describes the working conditions well:

ENOUGH! FOR SHAME! Enough damage has been done to these poor women to satisfy the sadism of all of us watching. And how much more will we see them suffer being decrucified. Humanity is compassion over bloodlust.
Take them down and let them spread the story of the kindness and generosity of Albert and the justice he invoked on his son and his men, so that the Elves know there is a real desire on our part (we humans) for the end of war and hatred. (Somehow?)
