Hi Jack, look after your eyes, sounds like you need Lucentis, but a decent eye doctor should get the right stuff for you

Wishing you all the best for 2014

W

In Italy we can't choose doctors , and they cover them asses very well, nobody will ever sue them.
My guess is that the first doctor who operated me, did something wrong, the second also and now they are covering them asses.

Anyway thanks so much for Lucentis tip, i checked at it it should be perfect !!!
I will see if i can find a good doctor but i'm quite sure i must go outside Italy.

Yours
Jack

You can say what you like about the NHS in England, that have at least licenced Lucentis for retinal disease.

It may not be right for you, Jack, but you do need a good eye specialist, you've only got one pair of eyes, and I'd hate not to be able to see the Crux Forums :(

I do hope for the best for you

i have only one eye and therefore problems with depht also 3D and so on seems wasted on me, but I'm not blind and thus happy

IDear Ansy
I have been totally blind for two months, after a brain aneurysm when i was 25 years old.
Everything went well, but to be back normal, i really put all my energies.

I'm very sorry for your situation, of course.

What make me mad it's living with pain every single minute, i feel like having salt inside both eyes, and got double vision now, just because some doctor screwed up in 2007 and right now, he is happy, and bought presents with my money.

Now who will give me back, five years of life ?
Time is the precious thing we have, none will give us back it.

I will never be refunded , and in Italy we don't have invalidity pension unless you are 100% unable.
If i can't work, i don't have the right to have unemploy money, so i must work and do it illegally , that's the only way to have some money.

Anyway, today i found a friend who phoned to a doctor, so after christmas, i will go to him.
And here is another thing that make mad.
Why in Italy nobody care at anyone, unless you are recommended from someone ?

Uhh i forgot
My 3D story is going on, i'm experimenting a lot of new stuff ;)

Yours
Jack

Jack,
I checked on Bloomberg's and they rate Italy's health care 6th best in the developed world. The U.S. is ranked 46...

this is all bull crap. I wish you well with the new doctor...

Tree

Dear T
That ranking is totally wrong, do you know why, because we can't sue any doctor.
We sign a white form, before surgery, and after they fill it, in my case there was.
"The patient... no name agreed to have this surgery ... no mencion of what it is... "
This way if something goes wrong let's assume my eye, they can write.
"The patient Giacomo Civardi agreed to this surgery : removal of right eye."
In my case they wrote i agreed to have the right eye crushed by a "belt"
Who me ? never ever !!

Me : "I will sue you"
The hospital : "Sorry sir you signed for it, we are at rank 6 because we did what you asked for" :D

Just to let you know a man was removed the liver whiout having any problem.
He sued the Hospital, in our jurisprudence it's called "Report to unknown" it means that the Doctor was not mencioned.
Is it possible that in a hospital a surgeon do an operation and they don't know who was him ??
It's like to say i went inside the surgery room, and i decided to remove a liver to someone just for fun :p , does it sound insane ?
This are real facts unfortunatly.

Yours
Jack

I'm holding you in the light at this season, Jack.
Your anger is very understandable,
but what's most important is to get the best possible care and treatment,
so you don't have the pain, and hopefully the damage my be reversed,
at least in part, and your sight may be improved.
I hope the new year will be brighter for you, in many ways!

Thanks so very much.flower1

A huge hug again to everybody
