First day of winter in the Northern Hemisphere...
Heute ist der Internationale Tag der schönen und verdammt klugen Frauen.
Remember well that sad day. In the 70's we had a Labrador whose ancestors came from Lockerbie. When my parents were driving through Northern England in the late 70s they made a detour to visit Lockerbie.
21st December 1968
Fifty years ago.
Launch of Apollo 8, the first space flight to bring humans outside terrestrial gravity.
A historic flight that paved the way to the Moon for Apollo 11, seven months later.
All three astronauts, Borman, Lovell and Anders, are still alive today.
And nobody has ever gone back.
As they say... The future ain't what it used to be...And nobody has ever gone back. For me that burns.
As they say... The future ain't what it used to be...
Sometimes Madiosi disappears from here for hours at a time. Who knows what he gets up to?And nobody has ever gone back. For me that burns.
Decades ago there had been a saying that people form the eastern part of Germany are living behind the moon. Far from that being true - maybe Madiosi has a second residence there?Sometimes Madiosi disappears from here for hours at a time. Who knows what he gets up to?
...often nothing, life my lazy life.Sometimes Madiosi disappears from here for hours at a time. Who knows what he gets up to?
Yes, I was just a kid, but of course the whole of our region was shaken to the core, and it's still very much part of local memory.Remember well that sad day. In the 70's we had a Labrador whose ancestors came from Lockerbie. When my parents were driving through Northern England in the late 70s they made a detour to visit Lockerbie.
When we heard of the tragedy there we somehow felt a personal connection.
