Not strictly an 'execution' but still an interesting from of punishment.
This is from an old early 90s bdsm movie I used to have called 'Street Thieves'. The bdsm was quite tame but it contained this interesting scene in which this blonde is taken captive and then tied up in the sauna in just her bra and panties. She's gagged to restrict her breathing and then they turn the heat right up and leave her to suffer.
It's quite a longish scene - we keep returning to her in the sauna. Each time her ordeal is getting more and more unbearable - she starts off struggling to escape, but soon she's getting weaker as the heat increases. The scene continues and she's panting for breath and poring with her sweat - her hair and body are bathed in sweat and her bra and panties are wet through. Eventually she passes out through the terrible heat.
This used to be on YouTube but unfortunately has been deleted after I took these screenshots. The quality wasn't great as you can see - my old VHS copy had much better colour and definition.

Not sure if this is supposed to represent an 'execution' - that syringe could just contain some sort of vile toxin.

He can have a little fun with her first. Why not? If the execution is taking place in an arena the crowd might appreciate a more theatrical execution. She's been condemned to death so she has no reasonable expectation her demise will occur quickly and as painless as possible.
