Excellent scene. Roger Corman does Shakespeare (Richard III). The actress, Sandra Knight, sells it well. She looks like she's being stretched, unlike many other rack scenes where the actress has bent knees or elbows the whole time.

I think I watched it once as a youngster, but don't recall much of it. During my adult life I've consciously avoided religious subjects, including movies.

You would be right about that. I consider a movie scene with a male on the rack as a lost opportunity.

I assume you mean mainstream films, and it's hard to pick one.

This one from The Bloody Judge comes pretty close.

Now that scene had the great sound effects of the wooden rack and the working mechanism . . It would have been better if the villain had removed her scandals . . Another good scene was from a movie called inquisition I think . The girl was blonde and it shows her naked and fully elevated above the rack service . I like this chat but be back in a few hours duty calls
