I've always rather preferred this one:

Assuming the girl is 5'6", about average, it should be possible to determine the dimensions.
I like the central axle. It allows equal tension on all four limbs but can be operated by one man.
Yes, the effect would be to pull me up off the bed while I'm being stretched,
as the rollers at either end hold the ropes above the level of the bed.
