I didn't read any update announcement...

I didn't read any update announcement...
Thank you, Baldrick, :}We cunningly hide such announcements in the “Announcements” section!
All right...We're back and enjoying life on the Forums!
Apologies for the outage being a good bit longer than expected, the upgrade caused an incompatibility between our system and the host, which took a while to put right.
It seems some activity from the last few days may have got lost or compromised - including, it seems, my announcement before the upgrade
If images that you've posted recently aren't visible, the simplest solution would be to upload them again in a new post. If you've special reasons for replacing them in their original slots, let us know, we'll try to help.
Thanks everyone for your patience, have a great time in the newly rejuvenated Forums!
Before the interstate highway system, there were "US" routes. Burma Shave was shaving company that used to post signs with snappy limericks to advertise to drivers (now you do that with YouTube ads). As I said, from the 50's great American road trip. What???
That's interesting. It looks like the product is not available any longer, and when Burma Shave was acquired by Phillip Morris (a tobacco company ), the signs were done away with "on advice of counsel." Also, @Barbaria1, the signs first appeared on a stretch of road from Minneapolis to Lakeville, MN.Before the interstate highway system, there were "US" routes. There was also the Canonball Baker sea-to-shining-sea Memorial Dash, but those folks didn't have much time for signs.
I actually remember those. Quite fun for a kid stuck in the back seat on a long road trip. The limerick is a little long for a BurmaShave sign (it's from the 50's great American road trip--you can look it up)
Nice try, but you have to be a suspect before you can be interrogated.this slave willingly submits for interrogation!
Yes indeed. I had to up my meds a little on Wednesday. For me, it was an unexpected break in access to the Forum. I don't know if it was announced or not. But one of the first, somewhat fatalistic thoughts was that some hacker attack or that the forum had been closed. After all, I remember how it was with the disappearance of the previous one - I think it was called "Crucim" - I am not sure the name - so many years ago.
I can only say that it is precisely when something happens and we have no access here, even for a moment, that we understand how important this place is to us, even irreplaceable.
Giving my thanks to all who contribute and work hard to keep this forum the fun place that it is.At such a moment, I can only be happy that everything is working well and thank the Management Staff again for their work for all of us.
Many thanks !

Good point. We should round up some slaves and torture them.I would like to add one thing: during Roman times, confessions of a slave were only considered valid if they were done under torture. Just sayin'.
Also, there were some claims voiced here about the outage. I would like to verify them, that's all.Good point. We should round up some slaves and torture them.
I'm not saying we'll get any useful information. I'm just saying that's something we should do.
HARK AT THE MAN. BEEN HERE FOR A MONTH AND HE WANTS TO VERIFY THINGS.Also, there were some claims voiced here about the outage. I would like to verify them, that's all.
Regarding the newbie status, I can only say THIS.HARK AT THE MAN. BEEN HERE FOR A MONTH AND HE WANTS TO VERIFY THINGS.
THERE ARE A FEW THINGS HERE THAT ARE SIMPLY SHROUDED IN A DEEP FOG OF MYSTERY, ACCUSATION, AND INNUENDO. MOSTLY POORLY FOUNDED ACCUSATION, TO BE HONEST (JUST ASK BARB), WHICH GIVEN THE NATURE OF THE PLACE, IS JUST AS IT SHOULD BE. BUT FEEL FREE TO TRY. AT THE VERY LEAST YOU MIGHT ADD TO THE FOG.

Touche. I was not expecting that.Regarding the newbie status, I can only say THIS.
I'm cruel but not that cruel.
I don't think anyone expected to be Rickrolled on CruxForums. This is supposed to be a safe place, you know.
It’s all @wulf ‘s fault- he said I wouldn’t be interrogated (Roman style) over the server update, so now I’m being bratty - seeking punishment…RunI don't think anyone expected to be Rickrolled on CruxForums. This is supposed to be a safe place, you know.
