The non-citizen unmarried women in the ancient Rome were in general frequently mollested and abused but the slave condemned to death was especially deprived of every kind of legal protection and her body could be mutilated and abused with no mercy nor any esteem. (part 1 of 2)

Finally, something of a kind of a comix strip, serving as a study of the face expression of the victim during the process of being hanged, however not very neetly done (you can say "as usual"). Maybe I shall do it better one day.

In "The Passion of the Christ" it was crazy how Jesus was beaten to pulp but the two thieves were all white and unmarked. But with a Girl Golgotha the contrast is aesthetically delightful.

It must be especially disheartening to see so many women and girls unmoved by her pain and shame. Men will be men, always happy to look at a woman’s holes, but to see so many fellow females smirking back at her...that would drive a woman to despair.
