Great pic Andyman, look at the way she hangs listlessly from the beam.
That sun beats down mercilessly, baking her tortured body, burning her skin past bearing, draining her body of life sustaining liquids. She won't last long in this situation.
But at least she's not looking into that sun!

This was one of the many horrors of crucifixion -
hanging there facing a Mediterranean sun, even with your eyes closed,
you'd be painfully blinded. The Carthaginians made sure of it
by slicing away your eyelids.
