She is Mariana Pineda, a spanish noblewoman who was executed by "garrote vil" in 1830 in Granada (Spain) for ordering a liberal flag to be embroidered against the abslutist king Ferdinand VII.

There was a television series (1983) in which beautiful singer and actress Marisol (Pepa Flores) starred with the role of Mariana Pineda
In this link you have a set of photos of Mariana Pineda series recording. As it was recorded in 1983 Granada town old part itself was the stage of the series. For instance, Mariana Pineda execution was recorded in one of Granada squares with no modification but the basic ones.

It really reflects the polemics of the time in France (late 19th-early 20th century)!

That's strange, for me the St Agathe pic is by Jacopo Negretti too, but.....when you google the artist, you never find such a pic (which would be out of his style, I think) ???
