Quick word of advice. Go back to the shop where you got your leather cuffs, or look online, for low temperature wax candles. A lot of ordinary candles have wax with melting points that'll burn skin.

Stick with pure paraffin wax.
Scented and colored ones contain chemicals that can harm.

But I did it while tied on the kitchen table as an X, for sure, but not on an X cross, which is something different that I would like to be tied to and waxed on.
