Virgin Martyrs, University of: world renown CruxForums institution of higher learning, located somewhere in Missouri, we think. Famous for its grassy quad, located at the very center of campus, upon which at certain times of the academic year wayward coeds along with junior faculty given to overspending their research budgets are stripped naked and paraded about, and then whipped or caned … in some extreme cases even hanged or crucified … before and for the enjoyment of the institution’s assembled student body and learned faculty.
THE REAL TRICK, OF COURSE, IS THE WAY THE UNIVERSITY NEVER SEEMS TO RUN OUT OF FACULTY OR STUDENTS, DESPITE THESE TRADITIONS. ONE MIGHT THINK THERE WAS SOME SORT OF "ARRANGEMENT" IN PLACE.

Actually, the main campus is in a northern blue state. The sanctity of maintaining one's virginity is drilled in the students heads, but they seem to forget those lectures.

Meeting Barb frequently, brings with the attitude of complaining?
I’ve set myself to the task of compiling all submitted entries so far, with the goal of assembling version 1.0 of our official CruxForums Lexicon.
That will take me some time as it’s quite a task. So it’s not too late to submit more. And, of course, after 1.O is complete there’ll undoubtedly be a need for a 2.0.

I have gathered and edited the contributions received so far to produce below version 1.0 of our official CF lexicon.
There’s still much that could be added. Look it over please, and suggest any additions/corrections that may come to mind.
Alice - Barbaria’s chief rival for the most crucifixions ever, but Barb's ahead by several stipes (see below). See also “Bobinder”.
Angelus Mortis - The hard working Angel of Death, personified by Jollyrei. He has his work cut out for him around these parts!
Anjou - Arcadian region in France, home of Messaline and her lover Judith as well as the production of French Premium wood, the official CruxForums preferred source of cross-making wood.
Apostate — Senior CF staffer and promoter of the sensuous glories of the practice of “skin and a piece of rope” (see also), as well as the admiration and glorification of “bare-naked (famous) ladies” and “righteous asses” (see righteous).

Brampton - A village in the depths of rural England that time and modern notions have passed by (unlike at least 4 other places of that name in England, not to mention various Bramptons in the Colonies!), and good old customs like Witch Burning and Whipping Sunday are enthusiastically maintained.

Chinese donkey - A fiendish oriental contraption, being a wooden donkey on wheels with a simple cranking system driven by the rotating wheels, such that, as the donkey moves along, a phallic rod is driven up and down inside the vagina of the female captive sitting, bound firmly in position, astride its back.
Coffee Shop, The - where CFers go to relax and enjoy fresh coffee made from beans obediently ground down in the grinding pits by naked CF slave girls, especially Eulalia.

Carpal tunnel - passageway amidst the bones of the palmar side of the wrist, through which the Romans nailed their victims’ wrists to the cross.

Cross - the essential instrument for crucifixion. Made of wooden beams. Main shapes are a stake (‘crux simplex’), T-shape, Latin cross with stipes (see stipes) extending above the patibulum (see patibulum), and St Andrew’s or X-cross.
Crucifixion, Group - crucifixion of more than 1 condemned, in which all the participants have a name, identity and a backstory (practically limited to a maximum of 15 – 20).
Crucifixion, Mass - crucifixion of many condemned, of which most are anonymous with exception of the ‘lead character(s)’. See also Hill of 100 crosses.
Crux Chronicle: flagship CruxForums news rag, masthead motto: “All the nudes that are fit to crux”. And they don't pay wall their online edition unlike SOME "reputable" publications rhyming with 'Boss Tangeles Dimes" See also Spike Sharp.
Cruxton Abbey - CruxForum’s rip off of a popular tv series, and home of Lord and Lady Wragg. Noted for its extensive collection of four-poster beds (see also), well-stocked wine cellars, lavish soirées, and well equipped basement dungeon used for “correcting” careless or rebellious young female staff.
Dean (of a Faculty) : stern keeper of discipline (using whip or cane on bare tight littles), particularly regarding wayward and/or research-funds-wasting female researchers under his authority.
Demerits - the official CruxForums penalty for posting wiseass remarks. Administered exclusively by Barbaria1.
Dolcett Barbecue - a social event in suburban gardens, at picnic places, or on antipodean beaches, at which females purchased from specialist suppliers, or even the wives and/ or nubile daughters of the (male) hosts, willingly offer themselves to be slowly spit-roasted and served sizzling to the lucky guests.
Donations - how CF pays the monthly bills that keep the site afloat. Please donate if you are able.
Dorchester, The - preferred high-priced hotel in London for those CFers who can afford to stay there, or who get railroaded into staying there and paying the tab even though they can’t afford to stay there (see also Goldman).
Erin the Brave - CF’s resident fearless elf warrior.
Eulalia – CruxForums’ Poet Laureate, residing in The Northern Forest, where she has become an expert by experience in the local practice of linkie hunting (see also). Eulalia is additionally CF’s linguistics and literature expert, and a survivor of and promoter of a number of advanced slavegirl trainings. She often joins Barb in situations or locations where they better not have gone and encounter typical CruxForums perils. Though, unlike Barb, she often meets those perils with a certain amount of enthusiasm, indeed often positive relish, rather than reluctance and complaining.
Eulalia's Special Grind - an exquisite coffee served exclusively in the Coffee Shop (see also) made with beans processed by the grind-slave in a pit in the basement in a manner similar to the famous, civet-digested, Kopi Luwak.
Facing the Wood - a mode of crucifixion where the cruxee is nailed facing the cross, a style favoured by executioners who are keen admirers of the female posterior (see Apostate and righteous), especially in an extreme situation.

Footrest - a support attached to the front of the stipes (see also) on which the feet of the crucified are nailed through the soles.

Goldman - NYPD detective and later private investigator. CF’s smart, brave, although somewhat slovenly and addicted to Seinfeld reruns, in-house detective. Partnered on many difficult cases with sidekick Barbara Moore.
Great CruxForums Site Crash of the Summer of 2013 - our most infamous and catastrophic site crash, causing significant loss of resources. Some recovery was possible. The Crash has taken on a legendary or mythical status in the lore of the forums. However, while opinion is divided, this was in no way caused by Barb (nope, no way), as attested to by Barb herself. Great Slave Rebellion(s) - occasional CruxForums event, in which the site’s CruxGirls decide to stage an organized rebellion with the intention of forever throwing off the yoke of male slavegirl domination. The first occurred in 2013. There have been several since. Inevitably all such rebellions are put down, with the hapless participants subjected to a mass crucifixion on the infamous “Hill of 100 Crosses” (see also). Limerick - a genre of poetic expression regularly applied and eminently mangled on CF by readers, to capture in verse various perilous situations in a story
Linkie - a young Scots lassie who's properly brought up and trained for her part in the traditional Linkie-Hunt through the Northern Forest, she's canny and skilful at dodging and weaving through the wilds, giving the hunters a good run, but she's also well able to cope with all that happens to her when she does, sooner or later, get caught. Loathometer - a useful device invented by Wragg to express extreme loathing for bad actors found in CF stories.
Loincloth - Piece of cloth, preferably dirty, worn around the loins, often as the only "clothing" the condemned is allowed to wear underway to the cross. A last remnant of modesty, intended to be torn away, just before or just after crucifixion.
'Madame Wu'- an imported type off cigarette. that may cause relaxation or a laissez-faire attitude. May cause unsuspecting women, especially from blue states, not to care what Tree might do to them...

Mod - abbr. for moderator - a harmless drudge who scuttles around the Forums trying in the face of impossible odds to keep some semblance of order in the merry hell of chaos that accompanies the craziness of Crux.
Moore (family name) : an ancient lineage of direct or sideward ancestry pertaining to Barbaria. Known under different variations (e.g. Moria, Mohr, Moora,…), the female scions of the family always seem to have been present at important moments in history, playing crucial (il-fated and erotic) roles.
Mustang : T. H. Tree's favourite brand of muscle car. Frequently in need of repair after Barbaria has “borrowed” it.
NailusMartyrs - official CF online/mail order purveyor of dungeon equipment, blue state brides, premium French wood’ crucifixion cross construction materials, designer loincloths, etc.
Nails - the preferred means of affixing the crucified to his or her cross. Tree has been known to go off and spend time sharpening them when frustrated or thwarted.
Naked - nude, undressed. Most CF slave girls usually are, or if they’re not soon will be.
Northern Forest - A dark, unexplored, and mysterious place, where elves, faeries, and a mysterious figure by the name of Eulalia do dwell. Caution: few who enter ever emerge.
Patibulum (pl. patibula) - The bit of a cross that is fitted horizontally to the “stipes” (see also). In theory you're meant to lug the bloody thing from jail to the execution ground, barefoot and seriously underdressed, while being thrashed to within an inch of your life.
“Oh Shit!” - CruxForums officially sanctioned statement of despair, useable by any Cruxgirl who suddenly finds that things are not at all going as anticipated and that she is in imminent peril. Often preceded by "Strip", "bend over", "grab your ankles" "you`re getting another dozen" or something similar.
Pau de Arara, Parrot Perch - a simple support for a naked Torture subject, comprising a horizontal bar on which the victim hangs with the bar under the backs of her knees, her wrists bound in front of her lower legs, while beatings, electrical tortures, etc. are applied.
Pirate Cay - A Caribbean island in the very accommodating nation of Providencia that is owned by a mysterious billionaire who is alleged to lure unsuspecting and broke female university students there to serve as "companions".
Praefectus Praetorius - A prolific CF storyteller sadly departed. RIP
Priya, Narayan (later Raman) - a visitor to Trabbia (see also) as a pre-med student who ended up in some serious trouble with the law. Later, as a doctor back in the US, she took a job in a female corporal punishment facility. She knows both ends of the cane extremely well.
Rags - Shabby, torn and preferably dirty clothing, worn over the loincloth (see also) by slaves, or occasionally by condemned on the way to the cross.

Sedile (pl. sedilia) - Latin for 'a seat', but an uncomfortable one. A piece of wood or metal that the crucified can rest their crotch on, but only to get minimal relief for aching limbs, and actually prolonging the agony. May be combined with a cornu (see cornu).
Sexpionage - Fossy’s long running, true chronicle of global Mi6 operations, in which beautiful female agents and their dashing male counterparts take on some incredibly perilous situations featuring some of the meanest bad guys imaginable.
Ssnatzburg, Republic of - small nation-state of impossible to pin-down whereabouts; Not known for much other than its enthusiasm for practicing corporal punishment in its judicial system. Not a recommended tourist destination.
Snow shoveling - CruxGirls, and especially those hailing from Blue States, are expected to do it in the nude.
Stipes (pl.stipites) - The bit of a cross that sticks up out of the ground (see also patibulum).
Squirrel - CruxForum's pet animal (aka RacingRodent)
Syndicate, The - Secret international organisation, henchmen and executers of dirty jobs for dictators. Barbara Moore’s nemesis in several stories.
Tight little - Barbaria’s ass. Not too large, but nicely rounded and well formed. "Big" does not enter into it. "Round" is required. See also "Righteous".
Titulus (pl. tituli) - sign attached to the cross, stating the name and the crime(s) of the condemned.
Trabbia - A fictional Southeast Asian country where judicial corporal punishment is administered to females as well as males (in the spirit of fairness and non-gender bias).
Treehouse - Missouri residence of T.H. Tree, there’s a coffee house nearby, also the site of the infamous Hill of 100 Crosses beyond which lies a pit containing the bones of many a martyred CruxForums slave rebel. See also “Great Slave Rebellion”.
Tumescence: A scientifically observed phenomenon, which happens to Barb's nipples a LOT.
Via Appia : Roman road, favored site for a group/mass crucifixion.

Wayward : a rebellious attitude of a daughter towards her usually wealthy, well meaning, empathic, caring and generous father. Always ends up into trouble.
Weather - in CF tradition, crucifixions preferably should take place during ‘ideal’ crucifixion weather, generally a warm and sunny summer day followed by a mild night (it should be fun, after all).
Wragg - aristocratic English family name spawning a long line of landlords and archbishops residing in Cruxton Abbey (see also). Trustful keepers of good social order and justice, but prone to occasional descents into debauchery.
Zilawe - A fictional African country where, Meghan Shanahan, a young American aide worker, got into trouble for a tweet about the President. Barbara Moore went to report on the situation and, it goes without saying, got into trouble as well.

Crucifixion, Group - crucifixion of more than 1 condemned, in which all the participants have a name, identity and a backstory (practically limited to a maximum of 15 – 20).

Moore (family name) : an ancient lineage of direct or sideward ancestry pertaining to Barbaria. Known under different variations (e.g. Moria, Mohr, Moora,…), the female scions of the family always seem to have been present at important moments in history, playing crucial (il-fated and erotic) roles.
Mustang : T. H. Tree's favourite brand of muscle car. Frequently in need of repair after Barbaria has “borrowed” it.
NailusMartyrs - official CF online/mail order purveyor of dungeon equipment, blue state brides, premium French wood’ crucifixion cross construction materials, designer loincloths, etc.
Nails - the preferred means of affixing the crucified to his or her cross. Tree has been known to go off and spend time sharpening them when frustrated or thwarted.
Naked - nude, undressed. Most CF slave girls usually are, or if they’re not soon will be.
Northern Forest - A dark, unexplored, and mysterious place, where elves, faeries, and a mysterious figure by the name of Eulalia do dwell. Caution: few who enter ever emerge.
Patibulum (pl. patibula) - The bit of a cross that is fitted horizontally to the “stipes” (see also). In theory you're meant to lug the bloody thing from jail to the execution ground, barefoot and seriously underdressed, while being thrashed to within an inch of your life.
“Oh Shit!” - CruxForums officially sanctioned statement of despair, useable by any Cruxgirl who suddenly finds that things are not at all going as anticipated and that she is in imminent peril. Often preceded by "Strip", "bend over", "grab your ankles" "you`re getting another dozen" or something similar.
Pau de Arara, Parrot Perch - a simple support for a naked Torture subject, comprising a horizontal bar on which the victim hangs with the bar under the backs of her knees, her wrists bound in front of her lower legs, while beatings, electrical tortures, etc. are applied.
Pirate Cay - A Caribbean island in the very accommodating nation of Providencia that is owned by a mysterious billionaire who is alleged to lure unsuspecting and broke female university students there to serve as "companions".

Sedile (pl. sedilia) - Latin for 'a seat', but an uncomfortable one. A piece of wood or metal that the crucified can rest their crotch on, but only to get minimal relief for aching limbs, and actually prolonging the agony. May be combined with a cornu (see cornu).
Sexpionage - Fossy’s long running, true chronicle of global Mi6 operations, in which beautiful female agents and their dashing male counterparts take on some incredibly perilous situations featuring some of the meanest bad guys imaginable.
Ssnatzburg, Republic of - small nation-state of impossible to pin-down whereabouts; Not known for much other than its enthusiasm for practicing corporal punishment in its judicial system. Not a recommended tourist destination.
Snow shoveling - CruxGirls, and especially those hailing from Blue States, are expected to do it in the nude.
Stipes (pl.stipites) - The bit of a cross that sticks up out of the ground (see also patibulum).

Syndicate, The - Secret international organisation, henchmen and executers of dirty jobs for dictators. Barbara Moore’s nemesis in several stories.

Titulus (pl. tituli) - sign attached to the cross, stating the name and the crime(s) of the condemned.
Trabbia - A fictional Southeast Asian country where judicial corporal punishment is administered to females as well as males (in the spirit of fairness and non-gender bias).
Treehouse - Missouri residence of T.H. Tree, there’s a coffee house nearby, also the site of the infamous Hill of 100 Crosses beyond which lies a pit containing the bones of many a martyred CruxForums slave rebel. See also “Great Slave Rebellion”.
Tumescence: A scientifically observed phenomenon, which happens to Barb's nipples a LOT.

Famous for its grassy quad, located at the very center of campus, upon which at certain times of the academic year wayward coeds along with junior faculty given to overspending their research budgets are stripped naked and paraded about, and then whipped or caned … in some extreme cases even hanged or crucified … before and for the enjoyment of the institution’s assembled student body and learned faculty
Wayward : a rebellious attitude of a daughter towards her usually wealthy, well meaning, empathic, caring and generous father. Always ends up into trouble.
Weather - in CF tradition, crucifixions preferably should take place during ‘ideal’ crucifixion weather, generally a warm and sunny summer day followed by a mild night (it should be fun, after all).
Wragg - aristocratic English family name spawning a long line of landlords and archbishops residing in Cruxton Abbey (see also). Trustful keepers of good social order and justice, but prone to occasional descents into debauchery.
Zilawe - A fictional African country where, Meghan Shanahan, a young American aide worker, got into trouble for a tweet about the President. Barbara Moore went to report on the situation and, it goes without saying, got into trouble as well.
