Yes, corrective measures are definitely appropriate, preferably before the negotiation begins. Then the guilty, I mean, of course, the accused, for whom the presumption of innocence applies, are already much more obedient.

“I suggest, in the interest of bringing this trial to a speedy conclusion. so that we can all get on with enjoying the dual spectacle of first witnessing Barbaria1 dance and scream under the lash, and then writhe and twist about on her cross, I suggest the court limit itself to the very first, and capital, charge … perpetrating the Great CruxForums Site Crash of the Summer of 2013.

“Mmmmmmmm, yes …. Uh ….. I mean, suggestion accepted, do proceed.”

“Yes, if the Court pleases, the prosecution wishes to call its first witness, @Jackie1111 .”

“Objection’” cries defense attorney Tree.

“On what grounds?” responds Senior Magistrate Oldslave.

“What?” cries Barb. “My attorney raises an obviously valid objection and he is overruled? What kind of fucking court is this? No fair! There’s no justice here! This trial is a sham!”

“RR, please duct tape Barb’s mouth for the duration of these proceedings. Such foul language and disregard for the wheels of justice will not be tolerated in this fucking court room.”

“Yes, your honor. Go ahead with your witness, prosecutor.

“Thank you your, honor. Now Jackie, you are an exotic dancer by profession, are you not?”

“I am.”

“Would you be so good as to kindly perform for the Court?”

“You mean now?

“Yes, now.”

“Objection! Relevance, your honor?” cries Tree, attempting to stand as a theatrical gesture, and nearly falling over instead.

“Prosecutor?”

“This has nothing to do with relevance, your honor. The prosecution just thought the Court would enjoy a little entertainment.”

“It would. By all means. do proceed!”

“Right, then, if you please Jackie, show us your stuff.”

Great work, Barb, amusing and well written, as usual, giving full reign to your imagination. We have already had some humiliation and a sense of injustice with an attempt at complaining thrown in. With the prospect of more humiliation and brutal punishment to follow it has all the classic Moore hallmarks.

Objection over-ruled, Mr Loxuru, I have little doubt that you had ample opportunity in your pre-trial 'coaching' of jackie1111 to ascertain her abilities, and I am obliged to ensure she understands the meaning of contempt of court. Only when the court is satisfied of her compliance, we can enjoy her public testimonies.
