Julia Lepida is livid with anger that this slave should beg for mercy now. She will get what she deserves, the slow, agonizing death of a slave on the cross. Julia Lepida shouts at her, berates her for being the stupid, rebellious slave that she is. Sabina cringes under the onslaught of abuse, already in so much pain from the whipping and the nails in her wrists. There will be no mercy for her. She is going to die on the cross.

Sabina was praying she would get mercy, even though she would not be able to walk away from where she is now, not without scars and her hands likely crippled. She has felt what it's like to have her wrists nailed, to be dragged by the nails in her wounds. Now she faces the prospect of being pulled up off her feet and hanging helpless. The agony will be immense. Surely Julia Lepida would show some mercy!

But Julia Lepida angrily shouted at her, abused her, even while she cowered on trembling legs, her wrists nailed to a beam just above her head. Maybe it would be enough to burn out her anger, leave her able to show some pity?

But Julia Lepida arrogantly gives a gesture, pointing upward. Instead of mercy, she is commanding them to get on with the execution. Sabina gapes, unable to believe this is happening. They are about to drag her up by her impaled wrists and hang her on the cross.

That was amazing. I have never been that much into crux, but I felt her agony, and anticipated her settling down on the cornew out of exhaustion. I also felt arousal and now I think I understand the excitement the spectators felt.

The problem with those screams, moans, etc. from the Cowgirl crucifixion video is they have just enough echo to sound like they are inside a room, not outside. I looked for some way to reduce the echo, but never could find anything that worked. I was using some real first-class sound editing software, Adobe Audition, but I'm just not expert with it.

I'm not sure that anyone has ever improved on your efforts, Jedakk. Adding sound to video is really challenging, but you managed to crack it!

Thanks! Yes, it is challenging making a character's mouth and facial expression fit a sound you think is appropriate. Stringing the sounds together into a soundtrack is also a challenge. None of the sounds you hear on this video are a continuous audio segment from that Cowgirl video - each scream, moan, etc. is extracted and placed where I want it on the timeline. I learned a lot from this effort, and if I do another it will be better.

Sabina's toes touch the earth for the last time. Julia Lepida narrates this part:

Every eye in the crowd was on her, anticipating. The Nubians adjusted their grip on the beam, positioning themselves to lift it above the top of the post. One of them nodded to the other, and with hardly any effort at all, they began raising the timber.​

She was looking at me, begging for mercy yet again, when the beam started to move. Her pleading look changed to an expression of panic, then a grimace of agony, groaning through gritted teeth. They could have just pushed the beam up and dropped it into place; they were certainly practiced enough at it. But instead, they took their time doing it, making her endure the horror slowly, letting the onlookers savor the sight.​

​

As they raised the timber higher, the nails in her wrists pulled harder, taking more of her weight. She raised herself up on her tiptoes, trying to support herself for a few more heartbeats before having to suffer the agony of hanging by those nails. She looked down at her feet, at the ground beneath that she would never touch again. I heard titters of laughter from some in the crowd, who watched her avidly, drinking in the sight.​

​

The muscles in her arms and chest stretched and stood out, straining underneath a sheen of sweat. Her stomach sucked in, became concave underneath her ribs, pulsating with each panting breath. She threw her head back and emptied her lungs in a long, agonized scream.​

​

She stretched the toes of one foot down, trying to keep them on the ground, then lifted one foot and groped for the face of the rough timber behind her, just beneath her buttocks, trying to find some support there. Her body twisted as the foot slipped, and then her other foot was flailing as it left the ground for the last time.​

Sabina begs for mercy. None is offered to her. She has been condemned to die nailed to the cross. She looks down as her feet leave the ground. Does she see her body as that of a condemned slave's? It matters not. She will look divine hanging naked from her cross. She will be quite a sight as she dies on her cross...

As Sabina is lifted up, Julia Lepida continues to narrate:

She was dangling by her nailed wrists, screaming and twisting in search of some kind of support, anything to relieve the agony. The two Nubians inched her slowly higher, lifting her small body as easily as a child’s.​

I clenched my fists as I watched, my whole body tense as I imagined what it must be like to be in her place, hanging by those nails, legs flailing uselessly. I was holding my breath, gritting my teeth, straining for her, wanting all of this to be over. But it wasn’t going to be over, it was going to go on for days! I wanted to shout at them to stop, but I didn’t dare. It was all I could do to try to maintain my role as a Roman domina seeing a slave receive the punishment she deserved.​

​

When the crosspiece reached the shelf cut into the top of the upright, it slid backwards a few inches to rest against the tenon. The Nubians stood on tiptoe to raise it still higher, aiming to get the mortise hole over the tip of the tenon and drop it into place. But it was right at the end of their reach, and they missed.​

​

Now the beam was resting precariously, tilted down to the side away from me and hanging on the edge of the tenon. The Nubian on the side toward me couldn’t even reach his end. But the one on the far side quickly moved to steady it and get it lined up so it would slip down onto the post. She continued to writhe and struggle while everyone watched and wondered if she might tip the beam forward and bring it, along with her, tumbling down.​

​

If she fell and the beam came down on her head, it could end the entertainment suddenly. This would all be over in a few heartbeats instead of several days.​

​

And she would escape the cross.​

That really is a kind of a rookie mistake to make, missing the hole. You think they might have a better chance getting it in if that hole had some hair around it?

Her body seemed to stretch an inch or two, then rebound, her breasts bouncing up and down several times before coming to rest, her legs kicking uselessly. There was a splattering sound as her bladder emptied a stream of urine that splashed on the ground, puddling at the base of the cross. Then she got another breath, screamed, and kept on screaming.

"This little bitch has put up a good fight" one of the men watching Sabina's crucifixion comments.

"yes, but totally fruitless! They'll still put her on the cross and... Oh, look!!! The whore peed on herself" one of the women exclaims.

Out of pure curiosity, I tried taking a photo of myself from this angle. I had to squat to put my feet far back enough, and I edited out my surroundings with some terrible MS Paint drawings of a cross base. I think I will use this for my next painting attempt...the 3D models certainly look realistic, if not better than real! Enjoy my victim's eye view...
