Together in the 1930s they famously robbed banks the length and breadth of Arkansas.
This pic, the only extant one of her, was snapped when she was briefly taken into custody and sentenced to be hanged by top gun Sheriff and Judge of Hopeless, Arkansas, T.H. Tree.
She was never hanged, though, as Clyde pulled off a daring midnight rescue, springing her from the town jail while Tree was drunk as a skunk.
A year later, pursued by G-Men, she and Clyde died under a hail of Tommy-gun bullets when their getaway car was caught in a deadly government ambush.
