Why Do So Many Guys Use Or Have A Female Avatar?

Go to CruxDreams.com
I have been assured the original signage hides behind the new ones. Perhaps the rebellion might be hiding there to take the fair slave bard hostage for being a 'scab' and producing premium ground coffee to enemies of the cause...

I think I will need a spread sheet to keep track of all this...

Tree actually expected the middle finger, Barbaria...

In my mind, I believe it to be more a display of what the guys interests are or just a representation of it.

With us, it's more about projecting an image of our thoughts and/or how we want to be perceived.

Oh! And have fun everybody, this not a really overly serious thread.
Just asking a question to see what would be the response. ;)

Tree wanted to thank Siss for popping the question as it always intrigued me. Those who males hiding behind female avatars that claim they are trying to show their interests is a bunch of crap. I...

...what? Are you sure, Ulrika? I only have 50 1.75l bottles of Seagram's 7 left???

Perhaps I am becoming irrational. This rebellion is taking its toll on me. Pass me the PRNPT, I need to call in reinforcements...

...if anyone here knows what tree is referring with a PRNPT you will be severely dating yourself...

Thanks for pointing out my typo, Tree! ;)

Good question LS.
I can only reply for myself, and it is that I found I could show my own interest in a nutshell with the pic I got here.
So I am into the idea of having the female shackled and imprisoned.

It is my original interest - where my SM interest got started.
And even though I have taken some diversions into other areas, (the ex were into pet play as well) it still is so even.

Hmm..., I do love feminine beauty, even dispense with reality sometimes when I'm creating a crux image rather than end up with a scene where beauty is destroyed. But my avatar reflects my online personality - a carnifex who nails naked girls up on crosses.

For me it was a case of the tail wagging the dog -
I'd had the avatar image on a laserdisc for years -
(it's from the Charles-Francois Jeandel cyanotype collection
in the Musée D'Orsay - maybe the first BDSM Cruciform
Photograph ever taken - circa 1893)
and when I tripped one day over Cruxforums,
it was perfect symbiosis -
the avatar and site were made for each other.

Here it is full size:

As to the larger question of why men like images like these?

Simple - we agree with both of them.

Ego Stipes Ergo Sum

And most affectively I might add.

Also, the only feminine thing about your Avatar is the hand in the corner. ;)

and who could tell that?............just ............a woman

I am a member of the Stakedamsels Fiery Forum (hey, a guy can have more than one fetish, you know). Another member there goes by the handle Sunphyre (I go by Naraku on every fetish related site). One time I called Sunphyre "sir" or "dude" or something male & Sunphyre responded "I'm a girl!". I pointed out that neither her name or avatar - I think it was just a flame or something - indicated she was female. Not long after that, she changed her avatar to a cute elf girl.

Because, as the name suggest, the sight is primarily about women & fire, most of the male members have avatars of a woman at the stake or something similar. What this forum has that Stakedamsels doesn't, is a gender designation tagged to each member & included with each post. That little bit avoids a lot of confussion.
BTW: Because SFF has a very small (5kb) limit on avatar size, I couldn't get a version of my anime namesake that small that didn't look like mud. Another member helped me get another avatar in the right size that I like. Guess what...It's a woman being burned at the stake.

Naraku,

Always insightful, if not perplexing !

It may explain something and ask a question at the same time.

This ...
hello-kitty-christ-315x600.jpg is totally just for fun.
:D

I remain a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.:D

"You can't rule the world in hiding. You've got to come out on the balcony sometimes and wave a tentacle."

Not sure, "Who" said that. :D;)
