O Crucis

Go to CruxDreams.com
a googler also............................(dutch googelaar:p)

Oh good grief, what have I started? 3rd declension feminine?

Go on then, Eulalia, pull 'Wragg: Hoc autem peccata in grammatica Latina' apart.

Cos I had to use 'Google Translate' to get that

:peep:

W

I've seen worse - 'hic' for 'he, this man' rather than 'hoc', which is neuter, 'it';
'peccat' would be '[he] sins', peccata is the plural noun 'sins', GoogleTrans can't tell the difference :rolleyes:,
and I'm not at all sure what autem ('however, moreover, on the other hand') is doing.
HIC IN GRAMMATICA LATINA PECCAT would say it all!

Thank 'ee, ma'am!

A bit of Latin does so lend authenticity to Roman crux, doesn't it?

Next time I'm tempted maybe I'll send you a PM first and we can get it right from the outset?

Thanks again

W

Correction, the Vocativus is the 5th.
Though the cross is Persian origin, for us (degenerated but not unhappy) Chistians the cross stays Latin, always for men.
