Wow.... really...
This page shows real dedication!
Amy is very happy for the happy birthday messages!
A bit of an update then.
Amy got her master degree, sometime ago, and was invited by a university in the US to design the film program of said university, she's now the head of that department and a professor with tenure.
She directed another film,
Rucker, very different from all she did so far, according to some people.
Jac and Amy are going to be presenting TWO films in Florida, USA, one of them
Pygmalion which was going to be released twice before, the first time Amy's obligations in the US prevented here from planning the release with Jac, the second time, the date was all set, she was getting ready to return to Bolivia for a great premiere and a few weeks before the date, the first case of COVID in the US appeared and it was a few miles from her home.
The premiere was still on but then, two weeks before the famous release Covid arrived to Bolivia and the rest is history.
The plan is to have a special release of
Pygmalion in the US in September, followed by a limited theatrical release in a few cities in the US and ending the cycle with a big premiere in Bolivia.
She's also preparing another feature film and a TV series. Both produced and directed by her.
Jac is discussing the possibility for a film in the US where Amy, Carmen (
Martyr) and Veronique (
Dead But Dreaming) will be the protagonists. Amy and Carmen have never been in a film together.
Veronique worked in Amy's first film as director
Sirwiñakuy
They were together in
Barbazul, also directed by Amy,
And
Dead But Dreaming.
I'll drop by once in a while to see what's happening!
