As good as the Crucified art pics may be, there is something special in a "action" picture. Such an impressive picture here. That simple story line combined with the art of course, includes so many different feelings, thoughts and other sensations. God, I am going to miss October. Big time.

There really is something very intimate about crucifying someone or getting crucified. The crucifier must touch the naked victim, holding parts of their body as they nail them, and be up close while their body is outstretched for the last time, staying fixed there with each nail. And the reactions of the victims both thrashing and yelling to the nailing world be incredible. From the victims POV, they are naked and aware the executioner can see everything, feeling the touch of the executioner holding parts of them down to cause them such pain with the nailing which they involuntarily outburst to with a yelling and thrashing. But I think the one quarter that executioners give victims, or victims receive is that they are allowed to yell at the nailing without penalty, it is expected and accepted, but not in itself given any special sympathy.
The nailed hand of the thief is a nice detail. The nail will help the executioner, against thief to runaway. Very useful skill.

Last walk of the queen
Yesterday her ladies of her court had to watch her getting raped and whipped.
Today her ladies first defiled, then crucified while she had to watch.
Their screams had been awful to hear.
Now it is her turn.
With her arms tied outstretched on the beam her hands will be nailed on,
she walks to the stake and the men waiting for her.
Trying to show the dignity expected of a Queen.
In her mind she feels ashamed , not for her nakedness,
not by imminent cursed death that is waiting for her.
Ashamed cause she failed to protect her loyal servants,
her widowed daughter in law,
her dear sister, and especially her sisters daughters.
Instead they are all around her now, suffering and slowly dying.
She will join them in about 6 more paces, she will reach the place,
where she will spend the rest of her life in agony.
Two men waiting step forward and grab her beam on either side...
Ow gods!!! Gods save me!!!

Would be a wonderful title for a crux story. For a series. "6 more paces". "My last 6 steps on solid ground." The title alone is erotic.
And I really like the continuation of the picture art. Don't care if there are anachronistic remarks possible. I just love those tan lines. Judging by the houses in the background, we are somewhere in the 50s or 60s. Might be a sect. They had queens and servants. And most of all: a lot of envious and angry men. Who took over.
They still had the time and the patience then to complete the executions the way they should be.
And no Gods there to save them. Well, at least not untill they gave up the ghost. Aw.
