The Goddess and the Slave Girl
The boat, a Viking long ship, was built and rigged along the St. Lawrence River where good hardwood lumber is still plentiful. After the shakedown we pulled it out of the water for the winter in a secluded cove and let it weather so all the joinery would tighten from the moisture before the big crossing.
The first picture is the shake down on Lake Ontario.
The second pix are the star players of our crew. In the back row to the left is Apostate the Red, to the right in the back row is Helmut the Old.... Maybe the Bold. As to the others I think you will know who you are.

Part 2
The crew gathered in late May but we didn’t have enough girls so we hired Hollywood extras who were more then happy to sign on for an all expenses paid trip to Europe. After a group picture we began boarding. Some of the girls were reluctant to leave without their luggage so we explained we needed the space for food but still some of the women felt that their lack of clothing could cause problems. So we put some movie cameras aboard and spread the word that we were making a movie.
