Here is one that's a little more gory than my usual, but it must represent a scene that was common in those times. The horror of the cross is not just to be naked and stretched painfully on the wood, but to be exposed and vulnerable to everything that hurts, from cruel words to harsh sun and rending beaks. Truly helpless. Those watching might enjoy the show, but they might also know deep down that they could find themselves up there all too easily.

Which probably why it was very public and often very violent. Never EVER estimate terror and fear as a viable method of control of any group of humans.

Nor as a method of sending an object lesson to people who might want to do or think about doing "X" to think again.

It's an effective view of the Kidron valley, and you have a nice set of onlookers there. One imagines at least one of them is just a bird watcher, not really into all this crucifixion stuff, but you know, it brings the birds.

Excellent perspective work and some good adjustments to her expression to make her appropriately terrified.
