Just a suggestion: try to convert them to WEBP format. From my experience there is huge compression rate and tolerable quality loss.Oh crap. !!
Had a great shoot last week with Miss Diamond-Sparkles.
And...ALL the pics are way too big to upload, even after extensive editing
NO NO NO!Just a suggestion: try to convert them to WEBP format. From my experience there is huge compression rate and tolerable quality loss.
I assume the purpose here is to post images too large for the limitations of the forum, not to distribute them for the purpose of editing them (which is the only actual limitation of the WEBP format). If someone wants to edit or save them and view them in a non-compatible viewer, they can always convert them to jpg or whatever they want.NO NO NO!
Webp is an absolute abomination that is unsupported by the vast majority of software across multiple platforms
Stick to JPG as it's universally compatible. Using webp will make the user experience miserable in a lot of cases
Perhaps we could beg a favour off either @Wragg or @Hugin&Munin our resident imagery experts. If anyone can suggest how to trim the KBs down one of them would. Also, it’s your own work….This is an example.....even after I've edited and trimmed it...STILL too fucking BIG !!
1.40 mb from 3.4 mb.

Well, crucifixion is a Roman Empire stuff, so you need the appropriate technology. You have to take a hammer and a chisel to make that picture into a stone and the you submit it.This is an example.....even after I've edited and trimmed it...STILL too fucking BIG !!

Good idea !! Or perhaps I could commission someone like Carvaggio,or Michelangelo to do an Oil painting...."The Virgin Crucifixion"Well, crucifixion is a Roman Empire stuff, so you need the appropriate technology. OK, I tried to solve the problem. I just edited it with the program "Simple Image Reducer" and it is now only 292 kB. The Image Reducer is a Linux tool and I don't know if it is also available for Windows or Mac? But it reduces the number of pixels in the images. Before it was 2304x4288 pixels and now it is 860x1600 pixels. So you can't see the difference on a computer screen.Perhaps we could beg a favour off either @Wragg or @Hugin&Munin our resident imagery experts. I am a little sceptical about the virginity of your models, but we apreciate that you have some limits comcerning your relation to the models.Good idea !! Or perhaps I could commission someone like Carvaggio,or Michelangelo to do an Oil painting...."The Virgin Crucifixion"
PixResizer is an excellent (and very small) image sizing tool for Windows that also works perfectly in Linux under WINE. It's free and definitely recommended and it can run batches to resize any number of images within a folder, making it an absolute godsend if you have a ton of big files to process quickly. It can also do file format conversion (though of course it doesn't work with webp, though maybe the newer versions will support it at some point - I'm not sure how often it gets updated)OK, I tried to solve the problem.
