Having done a little research into human anatomy I have found that it would be very dangerous to actually nail a person's hands and feet to a cross and then leave them writhing about in terrible pain for an hour or so. Even though that is one of my favorite fantasies, I don't recommend it. Let's say, for example, that you construct a cross with a strong wooden platform for the victim to stand on. That would lessen the damage done to the feet by driving in nails, but unless you just drive a little nail through the web flesh between the toes, you are bound to hit something important. There are bones, ligaments, tendons, blood vessels and other vulnerable parts that are necessary for normal functioning of the foot. So, it would be difficult to drive a nail through any part without risking a permanent disability.

However, not being one who wants to rain on anyone's parade, especially on one that I also enjoy, I would suggest some ways to carry out the execution in a safe, but painful and very arousing manner. A good whipping is the first step. Then she (since we are talking about a woman here) should be paraded nude over some rocky ground so that observers can see her wounds and witness her suffering. Next, we hoist her up on the cross, binding her wrists to the cross beam and making sure that the rope is wound several times around, but not so tightly that it could cause nerve damage or cut off blood circulation. (These are things practitioners of bondage have learned in order to be safe).

Her knees should be bent somewhat so that she has room to move up and down. As for the hands and feet, scratching or cutting the palms of the hands or tops of the feet in certain areas is relatively safe if you want to see some blood flow. To make her suffer almost as much as she would with nails through her feet you could have some sharp objects installed on the platform right where her feet would be positioned and securely tied. These sharp objects should not be very long or very sharp. It could be something like a little wooden pyramid. The soft flesh of her instep would feel agony every time she puts her full weight on her feet in order to relieve the pain in her arms. If done properly, there should not be any serious damage from this arrangement. It would be akin to walking with a stone in your shoe.

The observers would derive great pleasure from watching her naked body displaying bright red welts, hanging on the cross. She would be moaning and crying as she moves about in a vain attempt to escape the pain. From what she has indicated, she would also enjoy the experience. After being taken down, she could spend a few weeks healing and resting and looking forward to another crucifixion at some later date.

It would make the crux very realistic for all involved without the damage caused by nailing

Such Idea for countless years I have. Why hammer through, a little wound into the flesh is amusing and gives no damage. 10 mm into the sole, 5mm into the palm.
Also for the hand an identical point but he must be fixed by a hand-screw on the patibulum.

To make it realistic, I should be sentenced to death, but reprieved without knowledge that I will be removed from the cross alive.
I would save you from a death on the cross, but then you would become my lesbian sex slave for life. If you think you can handle it :p

I like your idea. Just the sight of some red blood flowing from the wounds would be exciting. As long as the wounds are later treated with antibiotic lotion there should be no danger of infection, but even if there is some penicillin or other prescription would handle it. Having no serious damage, both the hands and feet would be okay.

Never underestimate the danger of infection in deep wounds. If deprived of oxygen, and in a dirty environment (think re-used spikes dropped in the soil before use) anaerobic bacteria cause the most horrific problems (tetanus and gas-gangrene [Clostridium tetani and perfringens respectively]) not just the bacterial growth but the toxins they produce. Antibiotics may halt the bacterial growth, but the toxins are by then busy destroying tissues round the body.

WHO says:

Open injuries have a potential for serious bacterial wound infections, including gas
gangrene and tetanus,......................................................................

• Use of topical antibiotics and washing wounds with antibiotic solutions are
not recommended
