I am happy the made the movie, and I gave a substantial sum to help in it's production. I have NO idea where you come up with the notion that females have long hair to cover their breasts. Sure don't see that on any beach. SMaybe if they didn't do stuff like this, the would have an easier time raising funds for their projects.

So, in defence of Jac's choice to have long hair cover Yahel's chest, you are rollng out scenes from movies attempting to keep a PC rating?
I thought the main focus of this film was the crux scene. One of the intents of the crucifiction was humiliation of the victim, ie, them being stripped. If you are going to just make a hair vest, why bother.
Secondly, I would think as that having Simmone show off her assets would increase the erotic element and thus increase the marketablity.
In any case, I am done with this.

Well, long hair for women is Biblical--Paul mandates it in I Corinthians (and Paul is just as wacky as any cruxer here). Wearing it does have downsides, though, not least of which is keeping various insects out and keeping it clean otherwise. I assume that during the shooting it was helpful in fighting the cold.

It isn't the length of the hair per se, it is the lack of accomidating it during the crux scenes. As stated, it could have been mostly placed behinf the shoulders and not interfered with the view.

Man, this nitpicking the hell out of the film based on what, some screenshots that at best show 10% of the film, that's kind of rough don't you think? Heck, might aswell ask why weren't the atoms in the position you wish they were.
It's okay to dislike something for personal taste, but coming here to ask for stuff or riot/boycott as if you were bubble bass?

I have not suggest anyone boycott anything. I have expressed an opinion and asked a question, Nothing more. I have also applauded many of the choices revealed. No strawman arquements please.

Sorry Margot - I was just making a comment not meant to degrade this great film or boycott it gees I was really making a comment that I didn’t clearly state i simply miss Amy making new films - that’s all - I can understand how all the complaints are from the real great anticipation

Im sorry, i tried to generalize, since sone people are taking the "it's not exactly how i want it, i am not buying" road, which i respect, their money, their choice. The thing is that maybe the phrasing of an opinion comes out sounding more like a complain to margot and the team which sounds kind of rude.
Besides, the full film isnt even out yet, some people were thinking that the actresses were not going to be fully nude and stated they wont buy it, then surprise surprise, there is a moment where some actresses are fully nude.
Its not bad that you state your opinion, but it looks like more like premature complaining than an opinion.
Folks, please stop commenting on something you have not seen or offering opinions on what you would like to see. If you want to see naked, short haired, long haired women... DIG YOU MONEY OUT AND MAKE THE FILM YOURSELF!

Oh the hair!

I hear the unsettled voicing... well, I'm actually reading them.
Ok... when taking a picture... like for the cover of a magazine or an add, you place the model in front of the camera, the make up person fusses with the make up, the hair person fusses with the hair, the light person fusses with the lights... and so on. Then the photographer takes pictures, and the people return to fuss with all that all over again.
But the model is in front of the background decor and everyone has access to her, and they have ALL day to take that one picture.
Simonne is raised up, her hair moves.
In movies, the actors are moving, raising their head, jumping up and down... and as their bodies move, so does their hair and if the hair is long, it might move here and there and here again.
In the case of Simonne, she's up on a cross and it was a lot of work to get her up there. There's a ladder involved. Once she's up, all set on her cross, the ladder is removed and the director says action. And the cameras are rolling and the actors are acting, and there's a lot of action. The Crucified Three are suffering the agonies of the cross and the tortures that befall them as they do... and they are not thinking where is their hair, they are not thinking how their body looks like under the bright sun, they are not thinking about any of that and even if they did, they cannot do anything about it, their hands are nailed and they cannot use them for anything like fixing their hair because it's covering their tits. They just go about moving the way their pain commands them to do.
And the crew can't do much either, they cannot stop the shooting of the scene because Jac would actually killed them if they did. The make up person cannot intervine to fix that little problem she notices, the hair person cannot stop the shootting, drag the ladder, go up the ladder, fix the hair, get down the ladder, pull it away, every time the hair follows the laws of gravity and falls over Simonne's nipple. Because invariably, the hair will follow the movements of the suffering head and go where it must because that's how it works.
And so, the drama of the hair falling sometimes in front of Simonne's beautiful breasts is one that will continue tormenting those that would like to see more of them at all times. But, although I haven't seen a lot of the scene yet, just a few pictures, I'm sure the breasts, the nipples, and the hair are seen a lot, a lot... yes.
