A Tale From Jac's Fantasy Island.
Jac was relaxing after a truly intense day last Friday. The day before he had spent most of the day working on
Seditiosa, he also had a family lunch and in the evening he was engaged in a truly extremely passionate time with one of his favorite
Galateas, as the actresses working with him are known, until past midnight and their passionate affair not only involved a bloody crucifixion and impaling, but also viewing a film, Pasolini's
Salo, while they were in character. Him with his whip in hand, she naked and in chains.
So, the next day, Friday, he was relaxing, watching one of his favorite series in the warm and playful company of his five loves, when a Wasap message interrupted his viewing and relaxing musings. It was another Galatea who urged him to get up and go to a club nearby. He had to check out this French singer. Galatea was sure he would like her.
Jac thought it over for a bit. He really didn't feel like going out, he was more into getting in bed.
Should I go? He asked himself while sending an apology text back. But a few minutes later he was getting ready and out the door to the club.
He arrived and was received by his Galatea caller who took him by the hand and led him to a table. He ordered a beer and sat to watch the famous French singer.
He was in awe. There was something about her that brought back beautiful memories of his French past. Memories of Camille and Veronique. The singer was tall, slim, and had a Veronique look all around her, but her voice was almost Camille's, or maybe even Jane's. Then the vision in front of him started singing a new song, the lyrics flew into his ears and down to his heart
Moi je n'étais rien
Et voilà qu'aujourd'hui
Je suis le gardien
Du sommeil de ses nuits
Je l'aime à mourir
Je l'aime à mourir! His heart began throbbing like it hasn't happened since the time he fell in love, a long, long time ago.
Je l'aime à mourir, the Frances Cabrel song that was one of the main themes on the soundtrack of his love relationship with Carmen/Camille and it, still, brings back those powerful feelings he had, has, for that Goddess.
After a few songs, the show was over, the French singer sang in French, Spanish English and German, she was that good. She's an amazing performer, Jac thought as he was totally taken by the grip of those songs, that voice, that body.
The singer went off the stage and Jac decided to join his Galatea at the bar. She was busy with some friends there.
As Jac was drinking his beer, ignored by all, the French Singer appeared right by his side. Jac said hello, the singer said hello and they went into an amazing and totally unexpected conversation.
She introduced herself, My name is Mireya, she said. The name sent a jolt of powerful electric shocks through his body. Mireya was the name of his first true s&m love from the times he was a teenager, the beautiful girl that submitted herself to him in ways that made him realized that the universe was the realm of Goddesses.
How ironic, he thought to himself, but that was not all. Soon after shocking him with her name, Mireya said she loved his film, Martyr, which she saw at a festival in France, Amiens, to be exact. She's from Normandie. And that was not all. She mentioned that she was an actress as well as a singer, that she was in a couple of movies and that she would love to be in one of his films.
If Jac didn't faint that very minute it was because he was paralyzed. She went further. I heard that you want to make a film on the opera La Traviata. She shocked him more.
What happened is that at one point, while waiting for the protagonists in Seditiosa to go through make up, Jac was talking to Flavio, his second camera man, about the possibility of working on a film about La traviata. The reason is because Flavio is not only a cameraman, but he's also an opera singer. Their conversation reached Galatea's ears and she passed on the rumor to Mireya, the French Singer.
That Friday night, before the bell struck midnight, Jac turned into a Prince.
Mireya and Jac had a date the very next day. Off they went that Saturday night to have some drinks, some cheese, some crackers and a lot of talk. Mireya brought back the conversation about La Traviata and told him she had invitations to the Fantom Of The Opera performance on Sunday. Would you join me? She asked. I can introduce you to the people there... they might be interested in working with you in La Traviata.
Next day Jac was sitting at the theater, special seats, impressed by the performers, the musicians, the staging, everything. After the amazing show Jac was introduced to some of the cast, particularly the main singer, a beautiful Paraguayan woman whose performance brought tears to Jac's eyes.
There he was, in front of some of the cast of The Fantom of the Opera, discussing the possibility of working on a film around La Traviata and all because of that new Goddess that later that night was on his lap, naked, eating chips from his hand, drinking wine from a wineglass he held in front of her lips, her wrists tied behind her back.
When Jac went back to work on Seditiosa the next day, his mind, his heart, his soul, his loins had a name burned in them. Mireya. How ironic, he thought to himself. Like the universe went full circle to when he was 17 and had his summer of love, his Année Érotique.
