BTW, something seems to have changed on the site: I tried to do a separate post for the "hits" but the site did "merge" my two posts.
Before I had the same problem when trying to create a second post after the "lead weighted purse" one.
Leaving the thread and returning to it helped.
I am using Firefox.
Anyone seeing the same happening?
(And if I am not mistaken, this will be merged to my previous post as well)

This is a deliberate change. Some members were getting into the habit of making say 5 or 6 posts, mainly one liners (if that) without waiting for a reply. I used to copy and paste people's posts to cut down on the waste but IM has now implemented a 10 minute rule. Basically I think members now have to wait 10 mins before any other post on the same thread will be considered as separate. If anyone does reply then of course it will not be merged. It does have pros and cons but at least it saves the moderators from tidying up.

This is a deliberate change.

It might be a good idea to have a "sticky" thread with announcements of such changes. I thought it was that, as I have noticed the recent flood of one-liners as well.
However I thought that most of those were more than 10 mins apart, so not sure if it's a real advantage.
People like Tree / Eulalia / Messa who write stories offline and then copy / paste it into threads may suffer from that.

As I understood, the "problem" is not "offenders" but a flood of friendly contact requests accompanied with whole stories of life, that cannot be answered with a "shoe".
My post was not meant as a real recipe either... this is a "fun" thread...

It makes sense to the moderators and IM. I don't see how it makes things more difficult to read. If you wish to expand on this please do so via PM.

in which case make it unlisted. You could also upload it to Dailymotion or Vimeo. When you have uploaded it then copy the URL. You then click on the Reply box and the film icon on the reply bar that is 3rd from right. Paste the URL then click on Embed. Write your message then click on post Reply.
