Sort of (possibly because you have darkened it?) But it's by Édouard Débat-Ponsan.I forget who painted the background. Does it look like Goya's work?
It does make a good background... Tree has used it-I found another my old manip with an existing painting in the background.

You could be right. Fragonard did some playfully risque stuff.By the way, this might not be the right place for this thread, but you guys know a lot about Western art, so I'd like to hear your opinions.
This is Fragonard's famous "Le Verrou".

Don't you think that the canopy hanging from the top of the bed on the left in the picture depicts the female genitalia itself? (yellow part). The young man's gaze (blue line) is clearly staring at the female genitalia in the canopy. If you read the usual art description, it says that the apple on the table suggest sex because it is a reminiscent of Adam and Eve's apple. However, it is not written that the canopy is the female genitalia itself (and that the pillow-shaped male genitalia is inserted). Is it so rude to mention this point in art criticism?
Anyway, I believe this is a great piece of work. I would love to have it in my bedroom.
The above was a digression. ciao!
Do they have worms that size on Mars?Deja Thoris
I recall watching Dune many years ago, but I don't remember this particular moment of tension as the sand worm rises. The figure is convincingly blended into the scene, with even colouring and consistent lighting. The threatening monster is contributing to a kind of Andromeda vibe. The sfumato effect works well in the dust cloud, and I cannot tell if this is part of the original background or created for the manipulation. Nice work, Jolly!

Denis Villenueve's more recent take is more like a maw full of teeth. Also, pretty scary.

But you chose a piece of art with a more phallic looking worm.
Very cool.

It is indeed a very good painting and well suited to our purposes. That said, the tableau is a bit odd, I find. Sort of like all the Catholic aristocracy said "I know! Let's go look at the dead protestants!"...great painting.
