The green bits can be very prickly too! But I've always been happier walking barefoot in the forest, well used to thorns and jaggy stones, they're just part of the masochistic pleasure (mind, the soles of my feet aren't quite so smooth and pretty as some we see on this thread!)#2 is my favourite: I've walked barefoot on a few of these countryside tracks and really know the rules of the "the non-green bits are lava" game, so I can imagine the super-complex calculations in her head about where to step next
