The footrest set 4 (supplement)

That's how I imagine my wife being crucified in this way.

She is a doctor in a real world, so I can easily imagine that in the 1st century CE she could work as an assistant of a medician in valetudinarium, taking care of the patients and preparing the mixtures and drugs. And one day she made an error and a rich patient died. Or maybe he died of another reason, but someone must be sacrificed to ease the anger and to satisfy the complaints of a rich and mighty patrician family. The medician was the first to be punished, so he quickly accused her and prepared false evidence. She was led to the procurator and immediately sentenced in their presence to death, stripped naked, led out of the walls and crucified at the gate of the city within minutes.

(As usual, I imagine myself being her. If I lived in Roman times and if I was a woman...)

The beginning of the Day #1 (just after being nailed) when, despite of pain and shame, she would still try to be valiant, proud, composed, decent and hoping that she would die soon (her God would help her because she felt innocent...!). And the beginning of the Day #3 (after 50 hours of agony, being watched by her parents, her sister, her husband, children, and all the family members, her friends, her enemies, and by every man and woman in the town who knew her earlier and was curious to see her naked and weeping) when she would be crushed with unbearable pain, exhausted, debased, desperate and terrified of impending death... losing every hope... and losing her mind... but now she was fully aware that she would be dying for a day more, or two... So, she was just a halfway dead... and the really REALLY dreadful suffering was just beginning...

Sunrise at the beginning of the Day #4. After 75 hours on the cross my wife was mostly hanging limply from the cross, nearly motionless, hardly breathing, and looking indifferent but suffering frightening torment inside her head and the whole aching, dying body. Only time to time she awakened and begun to continue her dance, lifting her body up to take few deep, painful breathes, full of moaning and wheezing, and trembling and shivering, and to collapse again after few seconds. Now she really was near the end of her four days and three nights long way to be annihilated. She must bear her enormous pain for a short time only - well, some ten hours more.

She would be dead yesterday, but some merciful (but stupid) woman gave the crucified a few sips of water in the morning, and repeated this act of mercy at the sunset, thus extending the agony of a victim for a full day...

The end of Day #4. The crucified medician was no longer able to lift her decaying body up. She hanged, spreading her legs, exposing her crotch, smelling of sweat, feces, urine and rotting flesh. The last seizers shaked her body, the few droplets of urine flew down the inner side of thighs and few last droplets of the blood out of her pierced wrists and feet. She took the last breath and collapsed, farting with effort and sobbing noiselessly when the pain exploded in her wounds for the last time. She lost consciousness for the last time in her 54 years long life.

And then she felt no more. Death overhelmed and destroyed her naked, mutilated body. Three days later it would became the half-devoured rotting and dried meat on the naked skeleton, with remains of the hairs on the skull and between the legs.

After the one hundred hours of the most painful and humiliating agony my poor wife was finally dead.

Good backstory! I can imagine, in that 1st century, the male dominated class of medicians would frown upon a woman making it in their world, being as capable as they are. They would take the first opportunity that presents itself to blame her for any error that could have happened, and no one would stand up to defend her! :(

...a different sight, the crucified woman. Usually it is men sentenced to death on the cross but occasionally there would be a woman to die that way. She drew a persistent crowd, there is something about a naked woman dying on the cross. The crowd shows up for the condemned person's crucifixion and disperse after they have been on the cross an hour or so...

The Day #1, the very first hour of the agony. My wife being nailed to her cross at the sunrise, watched by her unlucky patient family members (satisfied or angry), her own family (sad or terrified) and the priests and authorities representatives (indifferent or amused).

First, she was hammered through the wrists to the patibulum (image 1).
Then, raised and nailed through the feet to the suppedaneum (image 2).
And then she was cursed by the priests of Juno present at the execution - in order to never find a rest in the afterlife - and left to die. Still shaky from the excruciating pain of being nailed to the cross and desperate after being cursed instead of consoled, she tried to regain self-control and hide her genitals, deluding herself that in this way she will be able to keep the remains of dignity and pride at least during the first minutes of her ordeal, while in fact she was totally humiliated, ultimately debased and fully deprived of human dignity from the very beginning (image 3).

Some white coating for the physician, at least her background.
The ones done as screenshots have much lower resolution... I prefer the higher resolution (photo? scanner?) if possible.

No mercy for the barbarians! Their town was besieged and destroyed, their homes were burned down, their parents and children slain, and all their property confiscated, including their shoes and clothes. And then they were marched down to the capital city. And after three weeks long foot march, barefoot and naked, with the Legio XIV Gemina, these Germanic prisoners of war were forced to parade in a triumph of general Lucius before the Vespasian and all his court and senate, and then crucified as an offering to the gods.

A skimpy loincloth for the queen
That skimpy loincloth, that's too much leniency! Imagine she would consider it a queen's privilege! All are equal on the cross!

these Germanic prisoners of war were forced to parade in a triumph of general Lucius before the Vespasian and all his court and senate, and then crucified as an offering to the gods.

Wise decision! Nothing but trouble with those Germanic tribes!

You meant ten posts or ten attachments/images?
Today I posted 7 posts in total (including this one) and 30 images. Is it acceptable?

No, I meant 10 images. Actually, strictly speaking our rule is only 5 images per member per day in any one thread - but we do allow up to 10 if they're illustrating a story, and for original work up to 2MB per image - I think as yours can count as a story, you're posting only in your own thread, and they're well within that limit, 10 per day would be entirely acceptable. :)
