Some Sketches

First eye view.
In some sense it's my dream.
Exactly, if someone finally will discover this time machine, allowing the modern observer to enter the mind and body of a chosen man or woman from the past for, say, 24 hours, I will be first to voluntarily travel into the 1st century Roman Empire to the late Pedanius Secudus villa to experience the crucifixion instead of some handsome slave woman and finally learn if the Romans really raped, scourged and stripped naked female slaves before nailing them (I hope they did) and how painful dying on the cross was...

Yeah, dying was kinda the point. ;)

Andy, you’re continuing a run of excessively intense crux art. Excessive thanks for sharing.

O, yes, I want to look like one of these three there...

She sipped posca eagerly, embarrassed for being watched by the young man while the warm urine stream flows out of her peehole, wetting her crotch, thighs and calves.

And she was really surprised that after hanging here naked for two days with her legs spread out as a spectacle for hundreds and thousands of passers-by, and exhausted with forty hours struggle with the most horrible pain, she still kept the remnants of dignity and still was able to feel shame...

Valeria was thankful to the charity association for the care. Twice a day they brought her two liters of posca and cleaned her crotch, impaled anus and nailed feet with fresh water to relieve pain and itching. Especially she was thankful for delegating female members to do that so she can at least feel less embarrassed.

"Why the authorities allow these "angels of mercy" to take care for the crucified? You see, Marcus, these women are stupid enough to think that they're are carrying out mercy to the condemned - but from our point of view they're simply extending their torment from couple of hours up to couple of days as well as they're making the crucified females more attractive to the male spectators. That's why we don't interfere."

Good thinking!

And once more, thanks for the great artwork, Andyman!

Your drawings are amazing, and even better when combined with a story!
Here's one of your earlier drawings with the story that came to my mind:
Superb!

My English is not as fluent as I wish (as all of you undoubtedly noticed), so sometimes I cannot translate many expressions from my own stories and finally I put only a simplified description or a short header. But if someone feels that my sketches have stimulated his or her imagination, feel free to supplement them with a story of your own. You will be always welcome, especially if the stories are well placed in a historical context, regarding real Roman era crucifixions and not "willing victims" from BDSM clubs or strange fantasy realms.

Regarding backgrounds, I am especially fond of a distant view of a city. I find it especially meaningful: the condemned is deprived of all rights and property and symbolically expulsed from the inhabited area, marked with a city walls circle, from the human society, to the wilderness: an outer world full of dangerous animals and birds. And in the other hand he or she can see the city walls but cannot hide safe with their shadow; he/she can see the quiet homes unable to return to his/her own; and the temple where he/she no longer can pray to god(s) for mercy and health and long life, and the god(s) wouldn't hear his or her cry from the cursed tree.

One of the pieces of Loxuru's thread here especially hits the point as a contemporary equivalent of the "near the city walls crucifixion", I love it.
