I was taught 'blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness'
So I decided I'd skip righteousness, it just leaves you hungry and thirsty. :p

Today's lesson is taken from the fourth chapter of the Gospel According to St Eulalia, commencing to read at the first verse:

  1. And it came to pass, that Wragg the Chronicler, and Paul, he that they call ‘Quiet’, came nigh unto the Coffee Shop. And the scent of the coffee filled Paul’s nostrils, and he felt exceedingly thirsty.
  2. So Paul spake unto Wragg, saying, “Ye Gods, I could do with a cup of that!”
  3. And Wragg agreed, for he knew that Melissa’s coffee was the finest in all the land, for it was ground to perfection by Eulalia. “Let us break our journey, and consume Melissa's coffee.” And when he had entered that place, he was filled with exceeding joy, for Barbaria was therein.
  4. Wragg looked upon Barbaria, and saw that she was most comely, with breasts that men might die for, and nipples of exceeding great tumescence.
  5. And he looked upon her, and he lusted after her, and he saith, “Cor! Blimey, get a load of those knockers, Paul!”
  6. “Verily!” was the reply, “as fine a pair as man may behold!”
  7. Thus procured they three coffees, for they said, “Let us buy her a coffee, for our luck is unknown, but it seems like our lucky day!” Then they sat at table with her, and did chat her up. For she was kind unto them, and friendly, even though they beheld not her face, just her tits.
  8. But Paul’s curiosity was quickened, and he wondered as to her manner of dress, and inquired “Why art thou dressed like that, O Barbaria? For our pulses are quickened, and lo, other bodily responses have occurred as well."
  9. So she smiled upon them, and did grin widely, then leaned she towards them, which gladdened them even further. And she replied unto Paul, saying “That is precisely the effect intended, for I am practicing for a job in Bagnolo!”
  10. Then they did groan most mightily, for they desired that she should stay right there with them.
Thanks be to God.

Have you ever thought of joining the Church of England's Liturgical Commission?!

Sitting in the corner laughing my ass off!

Hi. Thanks for the compliments. All the staff including coffee grinders here at the Coffee Shop do appreciate such comments. We do have a vetting procedure in place before anyone is admitted and very few bad guys get through. Ulrika is always ready to take your order...and more.

After you punished her for letting the coffee get cold, Ulrika stopped by my table and served up a great Swedish Milkshake.

That's your version...don't believe a word of it, and can't believe that St. Eulalia would have ever written such trash!

only under divine inspiration! :p :p :p

and to think they burnt William Tyndale,
his version pales into insignificance
