Hey Baby! I missed all of you too! ... and I'm here to stay forever and ever until I become a dead person. I thought of you often when i was trying to make the movie for Cruxwinds and also as I embark on my own movie there.
Slurp-slurp ... ahhh, good coffee, ground by slaves!
The main problem was trying to make a movie that incorporated actual motion, rather than the still image movies we used to make. As i struggled with it I so wished that you were there with all of your wonderful knowledge of formats, compression and such. I was really lost and I had promised my CW friends that I would make them a movie to help promote their Second Life project. They wanted a motion movie, which is understandable considering the fantastic crux animations we had, but I just could not see how we could maintain a reasonable file size. I finally decided to make a movie which would be mostly still image and only use the motion for the juicy scenes. Still, th efiel size would be too big.
Then too, it became a problem scheduling cast memebers for shooting, costumes and a host of other problems. I also got distracted by some ancient role play and other activities. When we actually did some shooting it was great fun and everyone got a great kick out of it, but I jsut could not sustain any momentum.
Finally, after taking ownership of CW, I have started on my own movie series called "Docius." it is a story of a young man on a remote island along the Italian coast who allows Rome to convert his family's small villa on the island into a prison where inmates work all day pushing heavy grinding stones to produce flour for a growing food shortage back at Rome. A Roman offical named Avatus is sent to the island to conduct the operation. He brings with him his two daughters, Avia and Tara, who both share a devilish passion for torturing men. Avia (red hair) has 'same sex' desires with her younger sister, or whomever is available and also likes to torture women as well.
The first movie in this series is called "Docius: Imprisonment & Slavery", or something to that effect and begins with images I took of his little merchant ship on the vast sea carrying Avatus and his daughters to Crucis Ventus. I'm splitting the narration between good old Peter Hall and Rachel. The characters themselves will not speak other than uttering mocking laughter, pain sounds, sexual extasy and other stuff. Eventually many other peopel will come into the movie as either staff to run the prison, or as inmates.
It sure was fun setting up the first scenes in Power Director last night. It runs so much nicer in this new beast of a computer I bought. This baby is 4 core, 64 bit and overclocks to 3.4 speed. It has a 1,500G HD and 9G RAM with a high end graphics card. It also has two extra bays where you just slide in additonal drives with no wiring to do. I've got a 4 speaker/sub woofer surround sound and mic/headphone set so I can speak directly to people in Second Life and not have to rely on the dreaded text messaging. Second Life incorporates Scype which gives fantastic clarity.
I do hope that you can come to my new Crux Studios and make movies some day. I can fix you up with your own studio president office and everything. You can sit back in your big easy chair smoking a cigar and looking along the wall at the plaques of all the movies you made as you listen with glee to the screams of pain from the dungeon below your executive office! Yummy!!!
There are three or four women that frequently come by Crux Studios that want to be tortured and crucified. I am the one who usually accomodates them, but you know me, I'd rather be on the other end of the whip. it is too bad, because there are so many on both these forums that enjoy the torture and crucifixion of women. Oh well, maybe in time some of these people will want to push the envlope a bit and cross over into Second Life. In the mean time I will enjoy my return to the forums and I have tons of stuff to catch up on!
Ulrika! Another cup of coffee, please! Swwwwwwish-CRACK!!! OK, pretty please? I got Fizzies!
