Glad to hear you're OK. At least the damned thing is moving again, and is at "only" category 2. It looks like it won't hit land until it gets to North Carolina. The Bahamas weren't so lucky. It sat on them for many hours as category 5.
23 dead and everything in piles of rubble isn't funny at all, but I think Puerto Rico fared much worse last year. At least it's a small area, so when help gets there things should improve quickly. Ships are slow, but they're more or less in helicopter range at least.
The worst part for y'all must have been the waiting. One restaurant owner in Florida said it was "like being stalked by a turtle".
One hopes the rest of the season will be quiet.
