Yes I noticed that too.. could have been VERY nasty or even fatal.. also he could have thrown all that hot coffee right into his own face....without hurting your head (near miss with the border stones)!

I just HAD to be snarky and open my damn mouth, joking about being warm when everyone else is cold. Karma is a BITCH. Temps dropped down to 6F with a -2F windchill and freezing rain....in freakin' San Antonio, TX. Our system was not ready for that. We've had rolling blackouts, that eventually turned to mostly dark. We've been getting about 2hrs of electricity for every 10-12 hours without for the last 3 days, and no water for about 48 hrs, with no prospect of it being fixed in the next few days. Joy. As a friend said, this is the wealthiest 3rd world country I've ever lived in,
Luckily, I have those re-enactor skills and supplies, so my family is safe. Just cold.
Best wishes to anyone else suffering these weird winter storms. Hang in there. I figure I've got about 15 minutes before the power goes out, again. I'll be back once the electrical system is back to normal.

I hope the weather will soon be back to normal for you in Texas. Here in Central Germany we already had 8°C (46,4°F) today, even though the maximum temperature on Monday was -14°C (6,8°F)

Good news! Power seems to be back on in my neighborhood! 12 hours straight, without interruption, and the power company says that most supply is now being fixed (after 4 days). Managed to get 15 gallons of water from a friend whose water was still running yesterday. We have to boil it (we're under boil restrictions, right now), but we have enough to get us through the next several days.
Things are good. Now trying to make sure that friends are safe and have what they need. Stores are closed and roads are iced, but we have some supplies, and I'm one of the few in the city that has some experience driving on ice and snow.
Slowly getting back to normal. And we now have lights, heat, and electricity!

oho here in poland very not good covid situation 8k cases yesterday and today 13k cases jump almost 6k today up in 1 day most probarly becuse less restrictions hotels and ski slopes open also most animals leave houses becuse winter end today +18oC not been here so warm from about 30+ years in february in poland also when will be next 2 days more about 6k cases than eariel day they make here totaly lockdown like last year march-may when they was totaly not prepared for pandemy doctors no have even masks in hospitals know becuse neko kittie been these time in clinic and all good saw on own eyes also when jump to 27k cases lockdown for sure also still here about ~500 animals go to sand daily becuse of covid

oho 12k+ cases here today they make 11k less tests on covid than yesterday and about 300 ppl go sand same like everyday also me think then do about 68k+ tests like yeterday will be 20k cases today and also real truth is today 20k cases so probarly tommorow 27k+ and should be lockdown in poland but why? better do less tests and will be less covid cases and in summer all animals wake up in total epidemy in one paw in dirty kitties couvette meow

in poland tribunal say asking by redactors journalist goverment informations should be not avalible and non public media tv radio websites becuse this media give private info and data about politics,judges,prosecutors,goverment members,goverment workers,policemans sometimes,known persons and is broke rodo law and broke private data of persons law giving they data each other animals but its only excuse to shut down here private media and not getting acces animals journalists redactors info what happen in country also usa and other countrys saying about this situation and warning is goverment excuse to shut down here non public media like in hungary and not let getting animals information what happen here and data about budget of country about covid cases and other important informations

In our district there have been 107 new patients since last week, the intensive care unit in the hospital only has a few places available, but luckily only 74 people have died from Corona. However, we don't even have 100,000 inhabitants in our district.
