Wait, Californian “Riesling”?

Isn’t that, like, a sacrilege?
Not actually, Riesling is a variety of grape that can make superb wine grown well in the right conditions and made into wine with care. But it does best in cool temperate regions - like Rheingau and Alsace, where the earliest records of it come from the late middle ages - in USA, Washington state produces the best Rieslings. I don't think much is grown in California, what there is is, like the label says, 'refreshingly sweet', but that's about all that can be said for it!

I had two glasses yesterday. To me it wasn't sweet but then again im used to Moscato which is sweeter, it had a neutral palet which is good for people who want it

2005, 2007, 2010, 2015
I see on the vintage chart those were exceptionally good years for Riesling. 2021 looks promising, too. Move over, Robert Parker, here comes the Mustang-bender! :copas:

I find it hard to care when Hollywood is so bereft of vision or imagination anyway. Mostly what Hollywood does is sequels. And they would rather do a sequel with the corpse of Harrison Ford than find a new story or action hero.
Jollyrei let them borrow it. Even the Angel of Death has his price
